This is my entry to Giovanni Seynhaeve's Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy contest. As you can see, I tried to build the scene, where Arthur and Ford are about to be blown in space. I'm really lucky that my local Lego Store had those dark grey flat 1x2 pieces in stock, I bought tons of them.So I hope you like it!
About this creation

"Don't panic!"

"We're gonna die!"

"Yeah, we're gonna die."

"No, no, what's this? What is this?"

"...This is...nothing.......Yeah We're gonna die."

"You're sweating.....would you like a hug?" "No."

So here's the thing:

It's completely tiled and studless.

The unexciting back.

Well, I have a big shortage of minifigs, this is the best I could do: Ford Prefect and Arthur Dent.

And a little extra:
My loose interpretation of Marvin!

"I think you ought to know, I'm really depressed."

I hope you like it

I also like the books more than the movie, but anyway, your MOC is very good.

If they are found, they best have their towels out so the scrags know they are dealing with real hitchikers.

Quoting Thomas Murray NICE! Great MOC, and I love the techinque used to capture the shape, but the light shone through the cracks in many of the pictures, which really bugged me. To avoid this, i would suggest putting bricks or plates over the areas where light would shine through to make it look more solid. Either way, wicked awesome build!
Thanks! Yeah, you're right, I recognized that fter taking the photos too. Thanks for the tip :)

Quoting Brady G You never actually read the book, did you? It was "30 seconds" in the movie, but it was the didget's of Trillian's phone number in the book, I think. Great entry, anywho. I liked that scene. I think I might do that. Uh, what was it called again? The ship Arthur and cie hijacked at Milliways.
Oh, I DID read the book, even before I saw the movie. And it's 30 seconds in both. The telephone number you're talking about is accidentally the improbability factor of being rescued in space.
