My entry for the COP/UNE Moc-off
About this creation
Introducing the A1 Hercules Transport to the Coalition Of Planets
-Build by BK.Industries for the COP Vs. UNE Contest.
"Its big, and maybe a bit boxy, but it certainly delivers" - Redmond Deja
"Tah-Dah!"

It's a big ship. Very bulky.

I thought about going studdless, but then I realised I would be still short on bricks if I just build the thing!

This took me ages, but work well done for me, the pilot has a very high view angle!

There are 2 mini-railguns on the side of this beast, for killing purposes

The wings, big & bulky. There is a pivotable cannon on each wing tip.

The engines of the *late* Recconaitor, which only got 6 'I like its' and had to go.

The rear ramp, 8 studs wide.

Ramp open!
A topless moc.
Pilot at the controls
The crew. there are 2 luxury-leather seats for commanders.
Seats!
Seats!
The back-end, where all the gunz r at.
On the right, a standard super-computer and...
Specialist weaponry... thank's Brickarms!

On the left, gun holders;

GO! GO! GO! GO!!!

*Troops deployed*

Underbelly.
Semi-greebles underneath.
The landing gear, very hard to do!
But you simply twist these nubs at the back...
...and they fold out!
*landed*
I thought I'd do some cleverish non-greeble stuff with the ramp.
Something you don't want to see in your mirror!
The Hercules seats 12 + Pilot, meh. I only have 6 mini-figs!
Shzooom!
"Do not go lonely into that dark night"

UPDATE!
After watching Avatar for the ... 42nd? time, I was so 'inspired' I changed the Hercules a bit, now its more a gunship:
Its even bigger than before! (I widened the troop bay by 2x studs)

"OVERKILL - Welcome to the C.O.P."
3 ACM Rockets & 2 Stinger Missiles

I updated the pilots canopy, now he can see up!

Based loosely on the VTOL of the Shuttle in Avatar; Points forwards when flying

And tilts down when landing.

My favourite picture of them all :) Makes it look nice and big, which it is...

Now on the top of the display shelf, along with my 108 I Like It's Vindicator

BK Ind. Coaltion contributions so far... minus 2 or 3... their parts were needed elsewhere *cough-shuttle-cough*

IN THAT PICTURE ABOVE: (left to right)
The Helix 7
A-2 Thunderbird Fighter
M2 Panther
MAW-1 Marauder Assault Mech
The A2 Hercules Transport Gunship (This one now modified)
The Devastator (Warship)

Alright, Kelly...you've got my vote! It was a close call up until you got to the interior work. All of the little extras in the way of playability that come along with the general overall look of the ship really make for a nice MOC. As always, I would've preferred to not see the studs on the exterior, but hey...we work with what we've got, right? So anyway, nice job and congrats!
YAY! Thanks Mark! (I'll deposit the $1 Million in your bank account tommorrow) :P |

Alright, I'll try to get my lines done soon, but in the aftermath of a cold/allergies combined attack, my voice might be a little off. |

Very nice. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one using wheels for big craft. Also, how goes progress on episode 2 of the series?
Progress report 0%. I'm going home in a week so I should be able to get the filming done then. But it's crucial that everyone does their lines soon. |

Wow, I'm really impressed. Great curving you have on the sides, it cancels out the boxy look. I'm also amazed on how it's mini-fig scale. Nice work overall! Oh, and could you comment on my Executor when you get the time? Thanks. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/185676 |
