HORIZON- Class Utility Mech
(I chose a picture with the cockpit open because it was the most attractive pic. Hey, it got you to look at it.)
About this creation
The HORIZON- Class Utility Mech is a lightweight mech used for a variety of non-combat missions including: reconnaissance, small-scale transport, scout, and spy missions. Since the Horizon is basically made up of generators, navigation systems, and legs, it can be upgraded heavily. Below the main body of the Horizon is a mount for transportation platforms for infantry or other items. Although the Horizon specializes in non-combat missions, it can be equipped with armaments.
One would think that the large direct visibility window of the cockpit would render this bio-mechanical walker vulnerable to direct fire. This is correct, if you are relating vulnerability to the literally indestructible durability of I-matter. The J.O.B. Engineering and Manufacturing Company assures you that this transparent substance is the most durable transparency known to man. A hybrid substance of aluminium oxynitride and diamond creates a transparency that can withstand an impact of nearly 4 megajoules. (The Dawn Forge, FOUNDATION Class Heavy Assault Mech's main cannons have a muzzle force of 6.6 megajoules)

Powered by multiple GAC generators, the Horizon is extremely power efficient. Since the legs of the Horizon are attached to the side of its main body, it features a Gravity Centering Cylinder for centering its gravity on one leg, providing stable locomotion.

The Horizon is piloted by one engineer, and like all battle machines by the J.O.B. Engineering and Manufacturing Company, it is compatible with SmartTarget.
The pilot here is Inspector Blanks. He's the test pilot for all mobile battle machines produced by the J.O.B. E&M Co. NMT: His name is Inspector Blanks because my cousin took his pocket-knife and shaved off his face, but left the painted-on headset.

A big thanks to Brian Kescenovitz from whose IGNITION Class Light Mech the legs of the Horizon were adapted.
