This is the Jewel in the Crown of my Star Wars Lego Collection.
About this creation
I started building the Battle of Endor in November 2008 & finally finished in January 2010, it took thousands of Lego® pieces & over 30 plus Bricklink orders as well as costing a small fortune, but it was worth it in the end. The diorama sits on a tabletop measuring 80cm x 150cm or in Lego® studs (96 studs x 176 studs). The Imperial Landing Platform measures 48 studs in width, 88 studs in length & stands 68 bricks in height. Of course there have been a few dramas with the trees, at first they were very unstable & prone to falling “the family cat saw to that” but now it’s fixed by using round bricks with axle holes & inserting long technic axle parts through the bricks. The spiral stairs around the Ewok Village trees kept breaking loose, but with more pieces it finally came together.
Well, I said I'd check it out and here I am. This is utterly astounding. When I saw it, I thought, "surely this is the most accurate model of Endor on the internet." You got everything completely right, from the giant landing pad to the forks in the path. Thank you for being an inspiration to all those who wish to create Endor.
