The hovercraft version of the Mule from the Firefly spin-off movie, Serenity.
About this creation
Background:
In Firefly, the Mule was an ATV with a bed in the back for storing objects or other people. However, it was destroyed in the Firefly episode "War Stories" during an invasion on Niska's space station. During the rest of the series, it was not used. Then Serenity was released, and with any sci-fi movie, you HAVE to have a hver vehicle. So the hover Mule was born.

Weapons:
None

Dimensions:
23 Studs Long (At Longest Point)
14 Studs Wide (At Widest Point)
9.5 Studs High (At Highest Point)

Other Features:
Docking Hook
Small Cargo Compartment

Builders Notes:
I've wanted to build this ever since I saw Serenity, which was the day it came out. I didn't see Firefly before, but I loved the movie nonetheless. And s I figured it's about time to pay my homage to Joss' brilliant sci-fi film. I previously built the Mule ATV from Firefly, but there's not much you can do with that design, an I still want to go back and rebuild that someday. Special thanks to the critiques at Flickr, FBTB, SSLF,and LAML.

Here she is. I tried to cram in detail where I saw fit, but I realize I might've gotten a few things off.

Yes, I did include the lights and the pointless wheel thingies.

Props for the docking hook idea goes to Ry(an Wood)!

Ignore the stand. It's there because I didn't see any landing gears to hold it up in the movie.

Teh back. I think I saw this engine used somewhere before, but it had half-sphere pieces in them instead of technic-y thingamabobs.

"Faster. Faster! Faster would be better!"

   "Where's mah clips?!"

This is the first piece I thought of when I saw the windshields.

I had an alternate design for the seats, but due to lack of the right color parts, that didn't work out.

The stubby thing actually IS a part of the vehicle. This is based on watching the movie and looking at a couple pics of the REAL model itself

I don't quite know what the white packages were for, but the red dot represents the "Serenity" logo on the side.

Good job on the Mule. Now, you need to make a minifig-scale Serenity...
