Cerberus built SSV Normandy SR2, Heavy stealth reconnaisance frigate, which is the chief means of interstellar transport for the protagonist in Mass Effect 2.
About this creation
If you like it, please rate it!

Excatly one month to the day after construction was 'complete', the SR2 recieved her first overhaul (excluding the hangar modifications to accomodate the UT-47). She was given minor cosmetic upgrades to dorsal surface, as well as an actual display stand, rather than an up-turned box. This Stand now sports the Black and Orange Cerberus logo, evident in the most recent image.

Slightly off angle plan view. Those of you who have constructed models in excess of 1 meter and tried to photograph it will appreciate the difficulty in doing so.

The views above and below are prehaps my favourite angle - somewhat agressive, but showing off the curved hull to good effect.

A nice comparison photograph to give an idea of the size of this model - at 1.26m, she's a bit of a beast to move around. I chose to stick with a space exploration theme for comparison (as well as a common(ish) official set that can be easily recognised), so what better than the Shuttle Discovery?

Cerberus stand. Why? Because I can.
Main docking hatch, used for direct personel and cargo trasnfer via external boarding tube, allowing the Normandy to dock with anything sporting the equipment.

The THANIX system was a little tricky to install - because of the shape, location, size and need not only to be retractable without trace, but include cylindrical barrels which extend and retract back into the cannons themselves.

Feel free to comment - I do read and act on them, the inspiration for this MOC came from one such observation.
Thanks for taking the time to view, and remember, whatever doesn't kill you, dies horribly.

You, sir, are a God amongst LEGO Men. I bow before your constructing greatness. That aside, in one of your other posts you stated LEGO wouldn't allow the sale of the parts for your ME creations because of copyright restrictions though one would think if you removed the words "Normandy" and "SR2" from the model itself it would make it legal. LEGO would not be selling the parts to make THE Normandy SR2 only parts to make a ship that resembles it. And as long as you offer the LDD model free to the world you wouldn't be libel either. That or I just don't understand the nuances of the industry and legal system. |

Beautiful work. Though I think the wings and engines need to be a touch bigger and placed about 4 to 6 studs back but that's just me. Again nice work and keep on building. |

"I'm somewhat humbled, given your caliber of building." no reason for that! There are lots of great MOCs in your collection and I never got that many "I like it"'s until now. |

Is there a slight bow built in or is it just the weight of the overhanging nose?
It's a bit of both really - the framework contributes a little, but it's probably mostly weight. Glad you approve, I'm somewhat humbled, given your caliber of building. |

Nice model. It looks somewhat complicated on some parts :-) Is there a slight bow built in or is it just the weight of the overhanging nose? Always glad to hear people building 100% LEGO. Just keep the writing as it is. |

This is a amazing build, but it would be better if the writing on the sides were decals, if you know what I mean. :)
Although I was tempted to make the name in decals, I thought it looked good without it at all (will post pics of this shortly), other than that, I was determined to keep the ship 100% LEGO bricks - even the shuttle fin on the bow has been replaced with a plain one. |

Can you put instructions on how to put this together, i would love to buy this and build one too. Besides when lego online comes out, i would like this to be a flag ship on the MMO. That would be cool.

this is the best lego creation i've ever seen in my whole life! I finished mass effect 1 last week and are now playing ME2(love the game). this is like a LIMITED EDITION/COLLECTORS EDITION OF THE NORMANDY SR2 if the lego company made one. buut it would probably look crapy. And when i saw this i got inspiration to build my own one, not as good as yours but i kinda like it. You should check it out i want to know what you think.
Keep the good work up dude! |

And I love how you have successfully captured the futuristic technology of Mass Effect ships in this MOC. It is so hard to properly capture a level of technology, but you did it bang on! |

Dar'vit! I was going to build a microscale Normandy SR-1, but no one is going to notice mine because of the sheer awesomeness of yours. The level of detail is incredible, and the fact it can hold a shuttle is amazing! Does it have an interior or anything like that? And are those little guys there supposed to be geth? |
