My first Steel Confederacy creation is here! Ta-da! And I do believe that it is the first SC MOC that is not digital. However, this does not deplete the epicness of High Commander Falcon’s Steel Confederacy creations.
I have entitled this the SC Anti-Aircraft Walker. Very simple and straightforward here. The AAW was developed to counter the various aircraft employed by the Atlanteans, the USRG, the Starmark Union, etc. The Steel Confederacy engineers developed high-explosive, armor-piercing missiles. These missiles are both laser guided and heat-seeking. They are launched from the twin pods on either side of the head of the walker. The missiles, nicknamed “poppers,” have a max speed of 170 kilometers per hour, and a range of ten miles. The poppers are programmed with the exhaust signatures of all aircraft currently in use, and are updated regularly. This allows the poppers, in the event that they lose track of their target, to cycle through available targets and avoid destroying friendly craft. The AAW itself, aside from the missiles, is armed with twin chin cannons, and has heavy armor covering its legs, head, and fuel pods. A final feature is that the AAW can detonate its missiles and fuel pods, resulting in a fireball that would span the space of five square blocks. DON’T MESS WITH IT!
About this creation
A close-up of the missile pod. Note that each pod holds four missiles.
Here’s a size comparison between the AAW and a SC infantry unit with a biohazardous machine cannon.
This is a comparison between the missile pods and the standard infantry unit. Also included in this shot is the missile halfway out of its tube, and the missile completely out of the tube.
