Team Quinqueviri in "Atlantis"
About this creation
Because i didn't like the official Lego theme of Atlantis, i decided to present you an microscale-interpretation of the lost city of Atlantis, based on the common descriptions given by Plato.
Plato described Atlantis as an perfect society and state. The city itself is divided in three circular rings of land, surrounded by water.
The inner island:
- Temple of Poseidon
- Acropolis
- Palace of the rulers
Second Ring:
- Qarters of the Sentinels
- Port for the warships
Third Ring:
- Quarters of the warriors and citizens
- Trade port

Temple of Poseidon, acropolis and palace

The amphitheater

A shipyard

Cornfields and farmstead
Warships!!!
Size comparison of three shipclasses: warship - tradeship - fishing ship

This is one of the most imaginative MicroScale "places" ever created! An excellent build, and an even better choice for subject matter...well done, my Friend! |

Nice, but I think the openings in the rings shouldn't be on the same side; it would have been more defensive against invading navies to put the openings on opposite sides. |

What better way to approach a category than build the title? Well done, sir. Some of the mini-ships are too cute! |

Although I do have to ask; weren't the buildings supposed to be coated in shiny metals? |

DANGIT, DANGIT, DANGIT, DANGIT! First my friend, excellent job with this. Truly a stunning piece. Second... Guess what build I'm just about half way done with!??! That's riiight, Atlantis BEFORE it sank! ARGGGHHHH! HAHAHAHA I don't think mine is going to be able to top this but since I'm more than half way done with it, I might as well finish... (grrr) HAHAHA You rock sir! Good show and some well deserved 5s from the judges. ~ Chris. |

I want the building to be white, but you're the artist and you rendered it to your vision. I bet there are some builders who had similar ideas to go this way with the category, but you beat them to the punch and they're going to have a hard time topping this. 5 points. |
