Cheater, revamped. Now with nifty repair pod!
About this creation
Since you all seemed to like the original Cheater so much (wink wink, nudge nudge, punch punch, etc etc), I'm creating a page for the rebuilt version. This one is still over 100 studs long, putting it under the SHIP designation.

Thematic background:
I suppose frameships are cheap cargo ships, created by cobbling together a (somewhat) sturdy frame, a simple passanger craft, and some big engines. Thus, parts tend to fall off frequently, and so this version of the Cheater comes with a repair pod for when sensors, bolts, and other pieces start coming off the ship.

Nice long shot from the front. Got to love the perspective in this shot. As you can see, the sensor cluster from the previous version is being reused. The maneuvering jets have now been placed on a spar, and some small engines have been put up front to lift the nose in the atmosphere.

Still got that distinctive windshield. The folding landing gear has also been retained, although the front leg has been moved back some.

Other side of the living area, showing the new repair pod. Yay~!

Back view, showing the main engines. There are spare sensor clusters if the current one becomes damaged beyond repair...

In this picture we see the new EZ-off roof. Compare with the previous version. Also note that the ship now has a crew.

Rear 3/4 shot, with left side roof on.

Left side roof removed. As you can see, there are now more compact bunk beds.

   Beds in use.

It's impolite to look in! Unnamed crew member #1 uses the combined shower/toilet facility.

Unnamed crew member #1 gets some work done at the desk.

Meanwhile, unnamed crew member #2 examines the reactors.

Another shot of the repair pod.

   Pod detaches. Glass? What glass?

Unnamed crew member #2 controls the pod.

   Arms tilted down.

Arms completely unfolded. Note all the spotlights, necessary for the darkness of space.

Claws open. Smaller claws at the tips of the big claws are used to grasp smaller objects, like minifig tools.

   Side view of pod.

   Pod docking door.

No, the air's not rapidly rushing out the door ... the shields are holding it in.

Nose area again. The gun turret has also been recycled.

If this is a cargo shop, where is the cargo hold? All i see is living quarters for the "unnamed crew." Oh, well, exelent work anyways.
