Team Triangulate This!'s entry for "Object Shown at Actual Size", is a skateboard. I had U.S.A. in mind while doing this due to the Winter Olympics, which they did great in, if I do say so myself. The deck of the skateboard is 4 studs thick, which is the approximate thickness of an actual board. I built the wheels to ressemble real skateboard wheels I had on hand, and tried to get very close to the real thing. I have been wanting to use the writing technique for "U.S.A." ever since I had learned it, and this was my first time ever trying it. It took me from 8-10 hours to build, and it was time well spent.
I think you did a great job on the brick build wheels...that's one of the most difficult things to build out of plain brick. Awesome work. And frankly, if you would have used regular lego wheels it wouldn't have been as good.
This is really great! Congrats on the great score. I would have had to dock a point because you are wearing a Washington Huskies shirt....I am an Arizona Wildcat! Just teasing, excellent work my friend, excellent!
Well Josh, this was the first legitimate candidate for a 20 pointer by a YFOL, but Yuri REALLY dropped the ball on this one. In my mind, this IS a 20 pointer. Again, supreme job on this and I'm sorry Yuri had a brain-f@rt!~H
Now that is just all sorts of COOL! I used to skate in my youth and this brought back some fond memories. I like how you even added the screws on the topside where the trucks are supposed to be attacted. Nice work! ~ Chris.
What's with the Washington Huskies t-shirt? Go Ducks! LOL Josh, this is amazing! We knew you were the man for this one! I can't begin to tell you what an awesome job you did on this. Very, and I do mean VERY,good job, you da man!~H
Joshua, you rock man! I knew you were perfect for this category, because no one captures objects quite like you. And look how young you are....man you have a whole lifetime ahead of you to improve! I swear you will one day be a LEGO God, and I'm glad I will get to watch you rise to the top! Great entry for the team man, keep up the excellent work!
