Ep. III AT-RT
Ep III AT-RT
About this creation
This is my version of Episode III AT-RT. There are too many little Clone Wars ones out there and I decide to look at almost all Lego AT-RTs and tried different ways to make the Episode III AT-RT. So I would like to give credit to all who have made AT-RTs because I may have used their design and just combined them with different creators designs and some of my own. Remember: This AT-RT is from Episode III they are bit larger than the Clone Wars one, so keep that in mind

More to come!

Really well done with the scale and detail that you were able to put in for the scale, best one I've seen so far! Any chance I could get instructions? chilipeppersftw@aim.com

Nice walker. It has this clanky feeling on it that makes it look more functional. It seems a bit larger than minifig scale, though.

Very good but actually this is bit too big.in ep3 they are similar to the Clone Wars ones- just watch them compared to Turbo tank and wookiees on beach... they are small in both...

Quoting Brickdoctor - Ah, got it: http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/6/6a/AT-RT.jpg That's probably the best reference pic of an Ep. 3 AT-RT out there. The head of an Ep.3 is noticeably taller, but you can see based on the Recon Trooper's legs; the AT-RT is about the height of two 'figs. According to Wookieepedia, the AT-RT stands 3.2 meters tall. The average person is 1.7 meters tall. (About Boba Fett sized; Chewie is the tallest main character at over 2 meters, and Leia the shortest at 1.5)
You know what I think also, it's the minifigs. I mean when you try to build an AT-RT as detail as possible it becomes too big compared to the minifig and if you build it small it doesn't have a lot of detail and it can barely stand on its own.

Quoting Brickdoctor - I'm seeing a lot of Larry Lars influence here....I also love how you've integrated the backpacks. The one nitpick is probably that it's too big compared to the 'fig. My personal favorite AT-RT was made by Dutch Rebel:http://www.flickr.com/photos/dutchrebel/sets/72157621894144396/
I like the head design of the thing but it really looks like it really can't stand on its own for very long and it looks like he used stickers which is sort of cheating in my opinion.

This is pretty cool, but not your best. I like that you made the 3 "toes" unlike alot of builders. My suggestion would be to use slope pieces on the sides of the feet instead of clip plates. I think that would be more movie-accurate.
