HK416 WORKING (from Jack Streat)
An IMPROVED replica of Jack Streat's HK416. Comes with soooooo many features I can't fit it in this box.
About this creation
Back when Jack Streat posted instructions for his HK416 I had just taken apart my old Styr AUG, so I had enough parts to make it! It turned out great, but with a few flaws that I eventully worked out. Some of the improvements include a folding stock, and brick-built HK symbol.

The main trigger grouping. Half of the stuff here works, the rest is for detail. The trigger and magazine release work, while the ejector cover, gas chamber, and safety are for show.

The front of the rifle contains a four sided tactical railing system. I have SOOOOOOOOO many attachments that in the interest of this page, I will list them later under a different creation. That said this gun only has the iron sights and folding stock attached.

The magazine release.

The magazine release pushed.

The magazine as it comes out of the rifle.

The magazine. The red piece is holding the "bullets" in the mag while still letting the hammer slide around it. It is red not because I have a lack of black parts(which I don't), but rather because when I first made the rifle the DAY that Jack put out his instructions, the rifle was plagued with this issue that if you didn't load it properly, instead of firing bullets, it would shoot that piece out instead. So it was changed to red so I could find it. Long story eh?

You can just make out the stock release button.

The stock half open/folded. You can see the button better here. I beleive that I stole the idea from another one of Jack's guns, the G36.

The stock folds flat against the left side of the gun. You can see my fancy brickwork with the HK symbol in the middle.

The stock can be fully removed just by removing one pin. I used to have the standard adjustable stock here, but one day I just got sick of it not folding small enough for me to take around, so I hacked together this folding stock.

Just to prove I can do guns AND do SNOT lettering, I made the HK symbol where it would really be on the real gun. Because it is SNOT, I had to put a piece of tape on the inside to hold it in place. Other than that no tape used.

The inside of the rifle where the magic happens. It uses 5 high-power RBs(rubber bands) for the main hammer, 1 low power RB to pull the cocking handle back in place, 2 standard white LEGO RBs to work the mag release, and 3 standard white LEGO RBs to work the trigger.

A close up of the trigger grouping. You can see the white RBs here.

The inside of the magazine release pushed. You can see the gray piece moving slightly to the left so the mag can slide out.

The bolt with 5 RBs forward.

The bolt back. the green beam is what holds it back.

Inside trigger pulled.

The cocking handle right above the stock.

Cocking handle back and ready to fire.

The sights. If you change the firing RBs around then you also need to change the height of the reer sight, as the power changes.

The front sights. Nothing to special.

Reer sights. Look familiar? I based them off the standard Heckler and Koch Iron sights, so it is the exact same as my MP5 reer sight!

That's all for now, but stay tuned for the rest of the attachments. I have at this moment a red dot sight(painted), under barrel shotgun/grenade launcher(WORKING!), laser (WORKING!) red dot scope(Based off the real thing, this one uses FIBRE OPTIC CABLES!), fore grip, and much, much more.

Add me to your favorite builders, rate, or just plain comment. If you see something out of place or wrong with the gun, feel free to say so, or just say something to the effect of O M G.

Also, I just uploaded the aforementioned HK416 SOPMOD kit, so now you can see all those cool attachments! (http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/195763)

I searched and searched, looking for the coolest Lego weapon with the capability of firing a projectile. And then, this descended from the heavens, and the angels sung! Okay, not really, but it's awesome. Really awesome. It's so awesome my eyeballs are burned by the awesomeness. Where's the "I think this the best thing ever" button?

Call of Duty: Modern Warefare 3 gameplay has already been released, so I guess he made the red-dot sights used in either the E3 gameplay videos, or the gameplay leaks released.

Quoting cameron powles bloody awesome mate i made that gun to i have for-grip,nade launcher, red dot thing from MW3 its cool and a folding stock but mine folds the other way and im working on dual mags and do u mind if i use ur iron sights i just dont like the ones jack gave us
Sure, you can use my iron sights. Those particular ones are actually MP5 sights, but I just really like the way they work with this gun. Also, how can you have a red dot sight from MW3 when MW3 isn't out yet? I keep up with my videogame babble, and I know for a fact it is a while before that chit goes down.

That is really cool, did you make instructions for the model? I have a gun that looks like that with the folding stock since i collect guns. I think the model came out really nicely.

Quoting schorch 100 i love it. p.s. how far can it shoot?
This was one of my first modern, decent looking guns, so the mech was not nearly as finely tuned as my newer ones. I think only 10 feet accurately, and 30-35 with low chance of hitting the target.

Quoting Elijah Gibson swwet can you send me instructions to Haloave@gmail.com
No. Nor shall I ever, unless I specifically say so. Plus, if I did, I wouldn't EVER send them to you, since you 1) can't spell SWEET correctly, or in a coherent sentence, and 2) you just demanded that I send them to you. Whatever happened to asking nicely?

Umm, No. The mag release is the same as Jack Streat's, and he has better pictures. Plus I prolly won't EVER make instructions for any of Jack's guns.

Quoting Brick, JamesBrick This is EXACTLY the same a Jack Streat's one!
WRONG! Did you miss the folding stock? And the top tactical rail is made with even studs, not odd like on Jack's. But you are mostly right, I didn't want to change to much. Just look at my SOPMOD kit and THEN you can see some change.

Right now I only have enough black parts for the MP5 and some of the attachments(pictures coming soon), other than that, I'm flat out! And thanx for reading Jack, I've made about 4 of your guns now, and all I can say is they are brilliant. The stock IS your G36c stock btw.
