US Airways Flight 1549

Capt. Chesley Sullenberger: Uh what a view of the Hudson today.
First Officer Jeffrey Skiles: yeah.

Sullenberger: Mayday mayday mayday. Uh this is uh Cactus fifteen thirty
nine hit birds, we've lost thrust (in/on) both engines we're turning back towards LaGuardia.
LaGuardia departure control: Ok uh, you need to return to LaGuardia? Turn left heading of uh two two zero.

Departure control: Cactus fifteen twenty nine turn right two eight zero, you can land runway one at Teterboro.
Skiles: Is that all the power you got? ... (Wanna) number one? Or we got power on number one.
Sullenberger: We can't do it.
Sullenberger: Go ahead, try number one.
Departure control: Kay which runway would you like at Teterboro?
Sullenberger: We're gonna be in the Hudson.
Departure control: I'm sorry say again Cactus?

Departure control: Cactus fifteen forty nine radar contact is lost you also got Newark airport off your two o'clock in about seven miles.
Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning system: Pull up. Pull up. Pull up. Pull up. Pull up. Pull up.
Skiles: Got flaps out.
Skiles: Two hundred fifty feet in the air.
Ground Proximity Warning System: Too low. Terrain.
Ground Proximity Warning System: Too low. Gear.
Skiles: Hundred and seventy knots.
Skiles: Got no power on either one? Try the other one.
Radio from another plane: Two one zero uh forty seven eighteen. I think he said he's going in the Hudson.

This incident has often been referred to as the ‘Miracle on the Hudson’. When the Airbus was ditched in New York’s Hudson River, many people could not believe what happened. What happened next was even more spectacular.

Overview of my creation, this is built to represent 30 seconds after landing. The boats are on their way to assist with the rescue.

This incident just goes to show that miracles do happen.

Sorry, I can't really see a miralce here (as a concept). More like a vig. 2 points. Oh and thanks for pointing out that the water was completely SNOT. Wow!

Cool idea. Could have been more detailed with shore and buildings to more clearly illustrate what the incident was. 3 points.

It is a nice little build, and the plane is well done. Can't give it more than three (3) points though as the level of detail just isn't there. Lee.

Great job Mario Man!!! I work in the aviation industry and can honestly say I've lost more friends to airplane/helo crashes than I have car crashes. That day was def. a miracle, and Sully did a fantastic job that day. You can honestly say that piloting is and always will be his destiny.

We have asked that the builder clearly state what the concept is, yet I don't see it in your writeup. Is it miracle? hope? heroism? Please rectify this oversight. Lee.
