Team Quinqueviri in "Vignette" Note: Sorry for the not so good pictures, the lighting conditions at home are really bad at the moment - bad weather...
About this creation
Here is my entry for "Vignette". First my idea for this popular quotation was for "Conceptual" but i thought a vignette would be better for it.

The quotation has an historical background - i'll explain it short:
During the French Revolution, there were two famous groups or "parties", the Jacobin Club and the Girondins, which fought for the ideals of the revolution - liberty, equality and fraternalism.
The result was the execution of the clergy and gentry on the scaffold. The revolution was won!
But then Maximilien Robespierre and his Jacobin Club formed a Reign of Terror and executed the whole oppostion - amongst others the Girondins...

The quotation was coined by Pierre Victurnien Vergniaud, a Girondin and executed on 31.10.1793 in Paris, by the regime of Robespierre. It means the betrayal of the own ideals. The situation after the revolution was the same like before. The change of the society failed!

The two minifigs in the vignette are the by guillotine beheaded Pierre Victurnien Vergniaud and as represantation for the Reign of Terror, Maximilien Robespierre, who also symbolizes the betrayal of the revolutionary ideals in form of the French flag.

To show and to proof: the flag doesn't break the rules.

You have pumped out some amazing stuff in these games, but this might just be my favourite of the bunch. It is isn't fun and it isn't whimsical; rather, it has a deeper meaning. Five (5) points. Lee.
