About this creation
Atlantis and Space Police mix.
====================

Be a part of LEGO's newest theme, "Spatlantis"!

One of the most notorious members of the Black Hole gang is causing chaos in the galaxy. He is only known as "The Shark", and is the most difficult criminal to catch, because of his craftiness and also because his ship is undetectable by radar.

That's why we're calling in our friends from the Atlantean Galaxy. We need your help.

The Shark is reported to have just been spotted at the B10 Secure Storage Tower just outside of the Manta Ray Nebula, which holds some of the most valuable treasure in space, the Sacred Keys to the Atlantis Galaxy. Go catch him!

The Shark approches the Storage Tower, to steal the sacred keys to the Atlantis Galaxy.

He sets up his computer, to hack into the security locks. (Credit for the control panel idea goes to a Flickr member I just can't seem to remember. I looked on Brothers-Brick, where I saw it originally, but couldn't find it. If you know who did it, let me know.)

The Sharks basks in the glory of the keys. Success!

Calling all officers. We have reports of a break-in at the B10 Storage Tower. The Shark is rumored to have been lurking there recently, be careful!

Officer Jack Fliperi arrives at the scene. He immediately sees The Shark's ship.

"He must be on the top floor..." Officer Fliperi uses his state of the art silent jetpack to secretly hover upwards.

"Hands in the air Shark!"

"Command, I have the Shark apprehended. Holding him until backup arrives to take him away." Excellent work Officer.

"You think it's that easy to catch me?" *CHOMP*

Where do you think you're going? Don't move or I shoot!" "Luckily I always have a backup plan. See you later..."

The Shark leaps from the Tower....

And lands in his waiting ship.

"Command! The shark has broken away, and fleeing in his ship. Backup needed!" It's too late Officer, no one will be able to catch him now. We may not have The Shark, but at least you saved the Sacred Keys. Good Work.

"I can't believe I let him get away..."

The shark pulls away. Once he is in his ship, there isn't anyone who can catch him... And yet another Spatlantean Police officer is outsmarted by The Shark. Perhaps some day, he will be brought to justice. Until then, every citizen must stay alert...

Thanks!

I particularly like the use of lever and grill tiles on pic 2. That will definitely come up in some future MOCs of mine. And maybe by then I even remember where Ive seen it ;-). The whole MOC is fine, thanks!

Quoting Dave Kaleta The ships are very whimsical and cartoonish, which I like. Builders take note, THIS is the way to mix these two themes. 5 points.
That means a lot, thanks for the scores judges!

The station is cool and could be used for many different ways. The Atlantisidea is a nice touch.

Quoting Keith Goldman No, they should be there, they are just a style that I don't particularly care for. I have a feeling other judges will give you the final point. Its just that when the centerpiece is really innovative, the bit-players have to be really good too.
Ok, thanks a lot for the feedback. :-)

Quoting Keith Goldman Score of 4. The space station is epic, I'm just not a huge fan of the ships.
Thanks! Do you think I should have left them out? I thought it was a bit boring without them.

Quoting Gordonblixt . Wicked! Great, but how did you get so many trans blue pieces? BTW the guy who came up with the control panel idea is Larry Lars.
Thanks everyone! I got most of them when the Pick A Brick at a LEGO Store had them. I knew I would find a use for them eventually. :-)

The space-station is pure money - that alone is worth five. Love the rest as well and a nice little story. Five (5) points. Lee.

Wow! Great job! You've incorporated the two themes very well in your story. The spaceships are very good, but I especially like the tower with the transparent stuff and the greebles. Awesome. ;)

Thanks Barney. This really came out of me wanting to do something with those transparent pieces, and I thought it would look nice to make a ring out of them. The rest just sort of fell into place then.

Erdy, I don't know what to say, but you've excelled yourself! I love the controls and all the transparent stuff in particular.
