FORTRESS MAXIMUS BUILD PROGRESS REPORT 2 (March 2010)
Fortress Maximus Progress Report
About this creation

Many have asked, so here is a progress report with pictures of how far I am with Fortress Maximus.

March 14, 2010.

I am having some difficulties maintaining a balance between stability and poseability with this huge project. I want him to be more articulate than the original toy but the weight of this guys limbs etc.. are presenting some interesting centre of gravity and balance challenges. (None that I can't eventually figure out... I hope.) Here are some shots of recent progress.

Progress as of Today...

Waist guns / towers...

Arms / Hidden Arm cannons...

Keep watching for more updates on this huge project.

At this scale you should have plenty of room to use worm gear assemblies on the joints. Then you can build just about as big as you want, within reason of course.

I will likely be redesigning cerebros for the final version. A third mode rather than a head..interesting concept. PS Maybe I am insane LOL!! Check out the build report I posted yesterday - June 2nd!
Quoting Michael Crichton Sir, you have either great ambition, or great insanity. Possibly both ;-). Does Cerebros have his own headmaster, or did you decide not to bother with that? If you could make Cerebros also have a third alt-mode, that would be cool too, so he can transform into something other than a head.

This looks promising and huge! I'm mean you used ball joints for the hands....really insane! I wish I had as many studless pieces as you :) Anyways, can't wait!

Just the angle of the shot! Don't worry you'll love the final project.....whenever I get finished!
Quoting Andrew Hough Awesome!!! Though, the head looks a little big? No?...
