Is the sonic screwdriver a custom piece or a modified ice pick?

This is amazing! I'm trying to make an 11th Dr of my own (except I'm using the Dr. Lightning suspenders instead of the gray suit). A couple questions: What face did you use for the doc? Is the hair from Anakin Skywalker? And lastly, what torso did you use for Amy?
Thanks :) |

Original... Ingenious... Simple...
Great Work! Maybe you could make the TARDIS look bigger on the inside by adding some( yellowish) reflective foil. |

I do not know why there has been a sudden rash of Doctor Who appearances in the Lego timeline, maybe there is a contest I am once again missing, but yours is by far the most smashing version I have seen. Sadly, it is of Matt, and not David Tenant (my fave), so that earns you five smiles and a smirk. |

Thanks for the comments guys,
Quino 124 - the hair is the same as the Agent Trace hair from LEGO Agents - but remember the blue windows and the hair are painted parts!
Sidewinder - Yes, I missed off the St John's Ambulance sticker on the door, but this was based on early images from the first episode and I didn't know if the new cleaned up and shiny TARDIS would be in the episode, as it was it only turned up at the end - so maybe this is the old one!
To thoses who want the instructions - I'll get around to taking a few pictures of the construction - but again some of these parts are painted - do not be upset that they are not out there as real LEGO bricks! |

Wow that moc is amazing brilliant detail and the characters look like they've just popped out if the tv screen! I was wondering if it was possible to let me know what minifig torso you used for the doctor and what hair you used for amy as I was planning to have a go myself if you don't mind. Thanks anyway and once again great build! |

There is only one thing there is missing, I, being a Doctor-Who die-hard fan, noticed. On the 11th doctors Tartus, there is a round sticker, spiked around the edges, one the pane to the right of the square police sticker (the middle one). other than that, I am truly impressed! |

Hi Mark, my son is turning seven in a couple of weeks and has his heart set on building this Tardis! Is there any chance you could list the pieces? Its really fantastic. Great work.
Thanks,

Yeah, the Sonic Screwdriver is made from the handle of a damaged Ice-pick I had laying around. I am normally pretty purist, a few decals is all I've ever put in my MOCs before but there are so many nice SNOTted TARDIS's out there from other people and this is such a simple and nice way to do it I just had to paint these windows! It's possible the frames will be in blue one day, but I can't imagine a reason the windows would ever be made! |

Superb - the torso for the Doctor is spot on for Matt Smith's new style, love your new Tardis design and the sonic screwdriver (what piece is that please? is it cut down?). I'm a little bit surprised that you've painted pieces, as I've only ever seen purist creations from you with the odd decal, but it all looks seamless so good job. Only two weeks to go 'til the new season starts, and the weeping Angels are back - one of my favourite monsters from the Tennant years in one of my favourite episodes, 'Blink'. Can't wait! |
