Reintroduction Special Project 1: COMPLETE. I give you the biggest, baddest, bug to ever try exterminating humankind.
About this creation
To minifig scale, reinforced legs, better and overall more accurate build. This is the most exact rendition of the Scarab I could build. Halo 3 style, a forme barely (or maybe never) built.
Its fun to build big.
But it's a pain in the cargo bay.
I'm planning to build another... large, if you could say that, model sometime. I know what it is, and I've already planned half of it out.
Oh, yeah! The Scarab:

-Marine, Halo 3

This guy is in a position that rhymes with "Fotally Tucked."

Absolute PWNAGE. I love how the "eyes" and "face" came out.

Ahhh... Legs... Darn it! I caught myself daydreaming again.

The turret on version 1 sucked. I'm very happy now that I fixed it up.

Butt Shot.

Leg Shot.

Butt Shot.

Perfect Scale. Scale is a mar-jor pain with me. I find a perfect way to build a section, and then I realize it's way to small for the rest of the build. FML moment.

Just plain awesome shots.

The hull was the place of major change for version 2. Look how much better it is!

A little cabin seat I prepared for a tired Elite. There is one on the other side, too.

So yeah, I made an over-the-shoulder shot.

Awesome.
So seriously, can I please get some reviews? Alas,
RATE, DON'T HATE!

I like it a lot! I feel as though it should be scaled down a little bit, other than that it's perfect! |

Very Good. The only thing I would say is this, it's very good scale besides the back legs, too short. I'm doing alot of research for mine and it said in my HALO encyclopedia (book) that the Scarab's rear leg on the "shin" (part of leg that holds toe) is longer than the front leg entirely. It is also to low to the ground but overall I would give this a 8.5. |

My friend built a scarab, i thought his was the best I have ever see, until now. THIS! is the best I have ever seen. In my entire three year, non building career in mocpages. I would long to get instructions, but, nein. I would not have enough pieces required. Still, this is te best I've seen in a looooong time! |

This really took my breath away...so much fun to look at. How strong are the legs? I know the body is sturdy, but it seems that legs would bend under its own weight...but I don't know. Not an engineer or anything. Cost $500? Probably more :P
Oh, the legs are tough. Rubber bands are placed inside the joints to help, too. It's strong enough to bounce on a 3-foot-fall. Yes, I do like my field tests, and yes, it actually costs more than $500. More like $850. |

as awesome as it looks...it stinks how if it weren't for it being LDD it would fall apart...
Uh... It wouldn't. The entire model has a Technic skeleton, it supports itself. Anytime I have a doubt about a model I build one in real life. As for my Scarab, it's not colored right so I won't post it. |
