As the need for security increased, the PDA realized it needed to step up its game and create a heavily armored, extremely devastating assault craft. While the Mosquitoes were good fighters, they simply could not suffice as a flagship nor did it have the capability to bring heavy units into the battlefield. So the N0B2 Chimera Carrier was created.
About this creation
The Chimera Carrier, the flagship of most helicopter fleets, is heavily protected under 3 layers of D2 armor. It has 52 small assorted air to ground and air to air missiles, 2 medium multipurpose WMD missiles, 2 large missiles, 4 massive gun turrets, an optional 4x4 nuclear bomb payload, and a massive gatling gun. It can deploy two Miniature Exaggerated Motion Mechs(M-EMM's)and 6 troopers. It has a crew of one commanding officer, one lower officer, and one pilot.Made by the PDA
This is the side view, which shows a medium missile, a 16 missile pod, and a 6 missile pod. The other side is the same.
Front on. If you are an enemy of the PDA and you are seeing the ship at this angle, you will either get smashed by the front, blasted by a missile, or shredded by a turret. Any way, you die.
Another view of the Chimera, adoringly nicknamed the "Magic School Bus" by all those that go on missions with it. I mean, how is chewing up an area the size of Manhattan in a couple minutes magicical? And do you think it looks like a floating bus?(stifled laughs from the audience)
Well, the interior is nothing special, considering how much room is taken up by the M-EMM's. Those mechas were specifically downsized to fit in here, and they do that job poorly. The space that is left is used for the troops, a gun rack, and a desk for the chief commanding officer.
The back hatch. You know, for the troops. On the side note, I believe this is the third attempt on MOCpages to create a vehicle similar to the Dragon Carrier from Avatar. I cannot thank Cody G's Gryphon Carrier, the thing this is somewhat based off of. He proved to me that a Lego Dragon Carrier, even in an incorrect scale, is possible. Then there is Imperial Engineering's Winter Dragon. And finally there was the first Dragon lego model of all on flickr, but it could might as well been called the hovering heap of trash for all I care so it doesn't count.
The top boasts the Gatling Gun and 8 small missiles, and additionally carries 2 big missiles. The roof is removable:)
This is what the M-EMM's look like. They are extremely downsized and are based off of the AMP suits in Imagine Rigney's Avatar battle diorama. I hope they aren't too bad. Until my next MOC!
