AG 21 - Zodor, Techgod
Nothing like a dead planet to get in touch with your God... but sometimes it's way too literal!
About this creation
A lost patrol follows the road to get to camp. They're out of provisions, so only a miracle can save them...

That's when the mighty Zodor, the God of MAOX, appears out of nowhere and blesses his men with renewed strength and stamina!

As the troops stand in adoration, the encounter seems to be too much for a pilot, who dies by sheer awesomeness.

Zodor is an interdimensional technorganic being, his science so far beyond that it looks godlike to mortal eyes.

Though this is but one of the hundreds of zodorian Avatars active at any time in different universes, it's still extremely intelligent and powerful.

The zodorian Universal Translator. This device allows the Avatar to instantly translate itself from a universe to another, cheating the principle of indetermination.

Detail of the legs. Of course the model CAN'T stand on its own, with feet like those. But I find they add to the otherworldly feeling :)

Back shot. Look at those wings, I love them!

The cast.
Cap O'Grid; Sgt Tourist with a Probinator Stick; Psi-Cmdr Carole D'Henry; AG Synthuman Glade. On the floor, the Nameless Policeman, died decades ago during the viral purge of the planet; Cmdr Ricker, died of awesomeness at the sight of his God.

Believe it or not, this should have been the core of a short comic. I tried several times to get the right pics and lighting for the several times of day, and the right space for the ballons. I suck at it.

Bonus: the 1st page of the original storyboard. I suck at drawing, too.

Addendum: blacklight picture of Zodor hanging from my ceiling. I put it there for good luck.

Note #1: I know Bernardo created him as "Zordor", but I couldn't get past the "zord" part without being reminded of the despicable Power Rangers, hence the "modded" name.
Note #2: part of the design was inspired by an old MOC by the Scott bros. I can't remember which, but when I do, I'll put it here.

All hail Zodor the Techgod! Here's a thought. Do a diorama with Zodor obliterating some helpless Porker Rangers (name changes are great for avoiding copyright infringement) to throngs of MAOX warriors cheering in glee! Or maybe not, just a thought.

Quoting MOC Description Nothing like a dead planet to get in touch with your God...
And here I thought you were referring to the last Bionicle comic! (Which was weird, for sure.) I really love the picture with it hanging there, that would be the one to edit.

Quoting Baron Von Ben ~ EXCELLANT. But about the hands... I see you use the bendy joint for the fingers, something i have dedicated looooong hours to perfect. I have a new design of it and the thumb ROTATES!! I haven't posted it yet (It's gonna be a Clockwork Golem :D), but a good example is on my Space Marine: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/148857
The thumb rotates here, too. And in 2 points.

Quoting Chris Phipson I still don't see any Lego. (Ok, only Yuri and I are laughing at that joke... moving on) I like which way you went with the hands in the end. I still woulda liked to have seen blades there too, but your's looks more "natural." Good job changing the color on the front of the head there. From what I saw in the wip to now, this thing has improved 200%! And with how cool it was in the wip... NICE! ~ Chris.

Quoting Supreme commander Gideon Fucci Awesome. this is one of your better mocs Yuri. might i ask if you will be building anything for the krill the group could use your skill
Maybe. I'm experimenting with shapes these days (and sorting!), mostly heads and feet. If I come by something interesting, I might well make something of it.

Quoting Matthew David haha, "I put him there for good luck." I love it. Warming up for the contest are you?
Don't expect much from me there, I built this before the MOCathlon, I just couldn't get the right pictures of it.
Quoting 000 000 I assume the dead guy got into heaven then?
For a blissful moment yeah... but Zodor himself is first of all a scientist, and at this day he's still yet to find proof of the existence of a true One God, or of an afterlife for mortals.
Quoting Bernardo BLITZ Silva You finally made him! Awesome! love those wings and feet concept is brilliant, Zodor...why not?
Thank you. I really hoped you'd accept the name change :)
Quoting Fuzz-E (Ryan Z.) Why did you use old bley for the arms?
I don't even know if those parts come in bley. And I think they add to the color theme, anyway...

Quoting Harvey Cu I would adding the following also:1. put some light editing by putting a night effect with a white light beaming at the back of Zodor where rays of light would penetrate his wings. Add some photoediting by putting some halo effect on his head. Its effect would be somewhat divine adding more to that sheer awesomeness! hehe
Too much trouble... I edited the lighting a bit, but i find Photoshopping utterly boring. I like MOCing better.

"As the troops stand in adoration, the encounter seems to be too much for a pilot, who dies by sheer awesomeness."--- Hahaha. Lets hope no mocer share his fate seeing your mocs with sheer awesomeness. Except for the 4 year old drawings you made this ones good. WOW! VERY NICE! I made a Bionicle creature. It'll be up soon. And I want you to be the first to judge it. To tell me how I did. I'll even put a reference pic. Cause you're are THE Bionicle ledgend. But it's a shame that Bionicle has ended. I have the last comic. And first figure. Tahu!

Wow, superb detailing, the steel wings are just Evil! You can see you were just itching to get building again on this one, it looks scary and I like how it towers over the humans in the street scene. Lighting might have been a tad better, but not enough to deduct points, and the drawing in biro left a little to be desired, but again, that shouldn't detract from the build itself. 5 points... hehehe, lol, judging the judge, just couldn't help it. Top build mate!

I love this build, and it works fine on its own. a comic would have been a lot more work, and it would have changed the focus of the build, so people think of this as the story, not zodor. where is that smiley head from? I agree with you completely about the legs and wings, but if you decide to not make a comic of something, you should just post the centerpiece. this could have used a bit more backstory, like we've all come to expect from you, and the dio with the road and the MAOX figs was a little distracting. 5 stars, though, just for the legs.
