this car is the product of two elements, legos and the Hogwarts Express from Harry Potter. did you notice the resebalance? so my mom was watching Harry potter and i come in and see the train. i thought, well im bored so why not make it. i have 2 HO scale model train cars of the Hogwarts Express at my grandmas and well i wasnt there. so i could not really call it the Hogwarts express so i made it look the same. this is my first 8 wide train car and i think it came out well. it used up all my red 1 by 4's and red 1 by 3's but i like it a lot. so i got most ideas from Harry Potter but i just took the idea and made it mine wiith customization. so please rate and comment
About this creation
one end with door
with roof removed
my mom and dad. i made figs for them for some reason.
drink cart w/ wine bottles and glasses
other end with two crew members moving luggage
a happy server asking if anyone wants a drink
the car on a sharp turn. it looks pathetic when moving. it would take the corner of a house off if too close.
This is a great job for your first go at 8 wide.
Many 8 wide builders put straights in between the curves so it doesn’t look so odd on corners.
Try to make the cars the length as 6 train car but the height and width of 8 wide and you get a narrow gage effect on you trains. Have a look at my 8 wide trains and you will see what I mean. Queensland rail is the only narrow gage mainline trains in the world.
I may be selling the train switch tracks that you commented on just depends on demand.
Have a look at my new reply.
Have fun experimenting with 8 wide and six wide or try 7 wide.
