I promised that I will be working on base and I try to keep that promise. So far this is all I have completed and don't be fooled at the size of it because its pricier than it looks. If you are wondering why theres yellow its because im trying to make it look like the base is still being built. I will add ALOT more small detail as it grows but im just trying to get it mostly built first. Well I hope you like my progress and the due date for its completement is still hard to tell do to prices of Bricklink. If you have any idea what I should add or work on please tell me.

This vignette has had a major renevation (not sure on correct spelling). The area will be elevated much higher so all buildings were taken off. Working on this may be longer than I thought. |

It looks nice for a start, but I would think that perhaps making the shore line less blocky, maybe some 1x1 studs... and the walls could use some work... also some foliage would be nice... |

*blink* *blink-blink* *faint* Amazing job! I know for a fact that I could never build anything that big. The use of that zeppelin is awesome! I do agree with Andrew, though, the terrain could use a little more bumps and rocks to make it interesting. All-in-all, stupendous job, I can't wait for the finished product. ~Waff |

How many base plates does this use? I've got a base that uses 12 medium plates, and this looks a lot bigger. What I've learned from large bases is that you should make modular sections so that storing the darn thing is easier. If this uses 16 plates, make four sections of 4 plates each. Other than storage issues, this all looks to be on flat-ish land. Make some raised portions of land to make the land more interesting. Add several more structures, including a garage for vehicles, make some machine gun outposts as well as artillery emplacements, and try something other than the Zepplin for the command center. Try making the command center on the top of the base, overlooking the area. I really like how this is designed so far with the different colored plates on the ground and all. Just add a few more things to this, and it will look a bit better. Overall, nice work here with such a large undertaking. |

Very cool. I wish I had that many baseplates. All i can say is that I would try to make the island have some outlying shacks that are secretly high tech, so that it looks less conspicuous. nice work. |
