After a major battle, a UNE base has been overrun. But a group of soldiers have been stranded without communications or support. So the group set out on a long trek to a secondary base where they can contact the UNE, and it seems they've found a way across a river they've been trying to find a way across, but not everybody will make it...
About this creation

A closer shot of the forest floor scene. This was just a distraction so the spec-ops units could get in place.

Closer shot of the bridge scene. Look to the left of the machine gunner to see one of the spec-ops guy who is about to nail the unsuspecting CoP troopa. Go ninja, go ninja, go!

Over-the-shoulder shot of the bridge battle. This dude's got terrible aim. Not nearly as ninja as the other dude.

'Nuther shot of the bridge battle. Just cause I wanna make you mad.

Three... Two... One...

PWNT!

The guy falls into the water. Just like any good dead guy on a high spot.

Told ya he's not nearly as ninja as the other dude. Moron didn't even take cover.

Entrails... yum...

Spotted! No matter how ninja you may be, you will never be ninja enough.

EDIT: You weren't supposed to see that upper body there... oops...

Quick thinking. Just turn the repeater around, and...

Double pwnt!

By the way, I blame the fact that the CoP units didn't even fire on how plasma weapons overheat so quickly.

Of course, the clueless UNE grunt is quite confused as to why the gunner abruptly stopped shooting at him. And to why his friend suddenly exploded. Either that or he's quite interested in botany. I mean, just look at that sexy shrub!

Forest floor minus figs.

The tree that I'm so proud of.

Front of the base. I sorta had a rocky picture when I thought of this, but now I'm sort of thinking "semi-natural rock formation plus some metallic stuff".

Back part of the base. You didn't get a very good shot of this, but I rather like it.

This is how I included the river without showing the rest of the blue floor. I just moved tiles around whenever I needed to.

EDIT: No really. Rate and comment. And tell your friends. I'm trying to get this into my most popular slot on my homepage cos I'm sick of my crappy-arsed energy sword.

Quoting Maj. General Ice Nice rockwork! Also where did you get the UNE troopa minifig? (Grey one)
1. The rockwork is awful, but I was able to use foliage to cover it up for the most part. 2. I used the space police torso and legs for the UNE troopa, simply adding a dark grey helmet, and then putting a side stud doohickey onto his neck, then placing a sloped vent onto it to simulate sort of a futuristic backpack.

Haha, entrails..nice build anyways, I like the bridge idea you have there, and the base looks pretty cool too, 5/5 ^_^

Alright, it looks like you get the win, due to Oucho's entry being late. But regardless of an automatic win, you've got some nice elements to the build here. I love the bridge idea for your layout. That adds a nice variation in contrast with most of these entries that have basically a square format to their set design. The action was solid as well. If you were to do this set again, I might suggest a brick-built stream under the bridge, and to keep working on your detail and architectural design. I could see you doing some nice castle work in the future if you felt like it.
