Mechabishi G4LV
Stylish transportation for the residents of Kamina City
About this creation
For the 2010 Mech Contest
Category: Civilian Mech

In the anime Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann, the residents of Kamina City (and probably the rest of the post-Beastman-war world) had legged cars for transportation.

The Mechabishi G4LV (Ganman-esque 4 Legged Vehicle) is my attempt to create such a vehicle.

I'd like to apologize ahead of time for the slightly blurry images. My camera isn't wanting to cooperate so much.

The front of the Mechabishi.

The backside. Tried to greeble it up a little.

Side shot compared to a minifig. The Mechabishi is pretty tall, but it can always bend down to help the driver get in.

Driver in the seat. Looks like Bill here really likes his Mechabishi. Nothing beats strolling down the highway at 10mph.

The Mechabishi driving... er... walking. Despite the stubby legs, this thing can actually gallop at a decent speed if you put enough spiral power into it.

Other Notes
Yes, I'm aware this is about 90% LEGO Set #8402, but it's the best I could do with what few good parts I have. Everything good went into the first mech I built which isn't quite done yet but should be up by next weekend (hopefully)

The photo quality detracted from your score as did what Mr R stated. Nice attempt, score = 1

2 pts. For next time: just try to challenge yourself a bit more - don't be afraid to use parts that you don't consider "good" - just make them work.

Its not bad, good job for a first mech.

Score of two, the Idea was not very original, and it just didn't seem like something i would want to buy, good building though!

1 point. As you said, it's 90% of set #8402. I also think that there should have been some kind of transition between the legs and the car chassis to make the MOC "flow" more nicely.

Since none of the judges are on right now, I'll give it a rundown of what I think... Great MOC for what is on hand, Great concept too. the only thing I could see them taking off for is the Idea wasn't all the way yours and the photo quality. but your other MOcs have good photos so idk
