BABYLON 5 Nova Class Dreadnought
Big Bad Earth Force Dreadnought this ship is from the babylon 5 universe have a look and let me konw what you think
About this creation

This is my first ship since realizing that there were things like BRICKLINK and on a more personal note Cincinnati Bricks the guys there are the business and this ship would not have been possible if it was not for them. thanks guys .

Please comment on this ship positive and negative as this will be the base for my next project an Omega Class Destroyer.

Wikipedia Description:
The Nova class dreadnought is a heavy warship in the science fiction series Babylon 5. The dreadnought is used by the military branch of the Earth Alliance called EarthForce.

This ship was the predecessor of the Omega class destroyer. It was introduced into service sometime in the late 2220s, in time to serve with distinction in the Dilgar war. The ship is capable of generating its own jump point to enter hyperspace, but unlike equivalent vessels of some of the other races, did not originally have artificial gravity for its crew and passengers (see below). This limited long deployments, and necessitated regular crew changes to counter the effects of Zero gravity conditions, other measures such as rigorous zero-gee exercises only going so far.

The initial variant of the Nova was heavily armed with plasma cannons, backed up by a large number of Starfuries. It also doubled as a troop transport, able to carry up to 18.000 ground troops with equipment, albeit not in very comfortable conditions. Despite its heavy armament, the ship was considered by some to be ill-equipped to fight in the Earth-Minbari War due to the short range inherent in most plasma weapons. However, the Nova's Plasma cannons actually had good range, but their rate of fire was slow due to high energy requirements. In battle with the Minbari, ships of this class proved to be relatively more survivable than the Hyperion class vessels. Also, if a Nova can get close enough to an enemy, extreme damage can be dealt, even to a Minbari ship. In the war, on the few occasions in which the Novas survived to close to very short range to target the Minbari units with the manual emergency weapon controls, the plasma cannons of the Novas were able to inflict devastating damage to enemy units lighter than a Sharlin class War Cruiser (and even a Sharlin would have known it was in a fight).

After the conclusion of the war, the class was eventually replaced in front line roles by the more flexible Omega class destroyer. However, Novas were seen participating in an attack on a planet close to Babylon 5, as well as in the later Earth civil war.

Yep, you captured the shape quite nicely. I am a big advocate of covering up as many studs as possible, so really, my only recommendation would be to get on Bricklink and buy more tile baby! Your map the world thread is still cooking back on GUWP. Attack!

Quoting steve emmenegger It's nicely done... except it's missing the gravity ring. There's some king of part with two arms rotating aroung the ship to create artificial gravity. I considered building one of these myself but never could find a satisfying way to solve the rotating part issue...
Thanks man but this is a nova class Dreadnought that does not have the spinning section for creating gravity your thinking of the omega class destroyer .which by the way is in the works and should be ready soon .so all i can say is watch this space

Sweet ship! Mark is so pushy about going studless, but he's just referring to leather chaps, not LEGO bricks. He really hates the dimples they leave on his posterior...Sorry, that was probably TMI.~H

Quoting Mark Kelso Really nice! Love to see this done with a no-studs technique, but nonetheless, this a very cool design that's well executed. Haven't paid a lot of attention to the Babylon stuff...may have to give that series more consideration!
Mark have seen your creations on here and have to say i am a big fan of your work .your cylon raider is just WOW! also looking at your star wars creations i now see the benifit of the stud-less approach .in truth i would have to say i am only now in the process of gathering a good collection of building materials .so all i can say is watch this space . just realized i forgot to say thanks for the compliment.

Ref:Mark: You should. B5 was one of the better adult sci-fi, good story, depth characters and some well written socialcritic episodes. Btw, i'm still wonder why nobody has build any shadow ships yet. Although my Sluur race is much inspired by them...

Nicely done, I like the dark red on the sides, some tiles to smoothen the surface would really complete it, great job
