About this creation
This is my virtual LEGO® rendition of a Humvee and American Infantry from the game Command & Conquer : Generals: Zero Hour.

Yeah, yeah, I know I usually have my "4 Random pics" as my 1st MOC of each month, but I had already started this one yesterday and was too tired last night to post it (your mom wore me out).

The Humvee in the scene is based on the design by Paul Beach, one of my earliest friends on MOCpages. He has given me explicit permission to use his designs, and I am proud to include it in this MOC.

Credit for the main Humvee design goes to him. I simply re-colored it, and added the Machine Gun and TOW Missile, as they are depicted in the game.

In the game, the Humvee is a lightly-armored scout/troop transport vehicle. Infantry transported in it could fire out of the vehicle, thus giving it an edge in hit-and-run attacks (even more if the TOW missile upgrade is purchased). The Humvee, like other U.S. manned units and infantry could be given Advanced Training.

Reference pic from game (albeit without TOW missile upgrade):

The infantry in the main pic, from left to right are:

The Missile Defender, America’s rocket infantry.

The Missile Defender can lock-on to targets with a laser-sight, thus increasing his rate of fire. In Zero Hour, they, along with other U.S. infantry, could be equipped with Chemical Suits, to halt damage from toxins and radiation.

Reference pic from game:

The Missile Defender is armed with a Stinger missile launcher.

Reference pic (from real life):

The Ranger, America’s main rifle infantry. He is armed with an M-16 assault rifle, featuring an underslung M203 Grenade launcher capable of firing 40mm Flash-Bang Grenades. Rangers could be trained to Capture Buildings.

Reference pic from game:

Colonel Burton, an elite American commando.

He is capable of climbing sheer cliffs, placing both timed and remote-detonated demolition charges, and stealthily assassinating infantry with his combat knife. Oh yeah, and he carries an OICW-type rifle.

Reference pic from game:

(He doesn’t actually use that minigun in the game.)

The CIA agent, normally only available in certain campaign missions. He carries a Handgun as well as demolition charges.

The Pathfinder, an advanced U.S. Infantry unit is armed with a Sniper Rifle and trained in stealth. The design seen here is just the desert version of my previously posted one.

Reference pic from game:

Above the Humvee, you can see the Battle Drone, armed with a small-caliber burst-fire gun, and able to repair the parent vehicle.

Reference pic from game:

Other remote drones available to U.S. vehicles in the game:

The Scout Drone, capable of revealing nearby stealthed units:

Reference pic from game:

The Hellfire Drone, capable of providing anti-armor support by virtue of its missiles:

* NOTES *

* All reference pics are property of their respective owners.

* As usual, the program I used to build this is LeoCAD.

I then converted it to an .ldr file and rendered it with LDView.

For info on contacting me about permission to use the design or obtaining a copy of the 3D file I made, see my homepage.

Thanks! :) And yes, you have my full permission to use my design as long as credit is given. (And if you can, please put a link in your MOC that directs to the page of my design you use).

Quoting A Member Since December 7, 2007, Jake Parkinson Guns are great, the Hummer is awesome, and the Hummer turret is awesome too! You are quite talented with LDD. Thanks for adding me to your favorite builders. Great work!
Thank you, but I don't use LDD (this was all done in LDraw). And if you like the Humvee, you should go comment on the original design by Paul Beach (see link above).

Thanks! :) The Humvee design is made by my friend Paul Beach. Which of the UAVs? Oh, and you can find my instructions for the Ghillie suit by following the link to my original Pathfinder MOC.
