Four rather silly classic space creations that I rather enjoyed building. I wasn't planning on putting them online, but put together, they make quite a fun collection of MOCs.
About this creation

The LL-217 is a rather large laser gun with high precision targeting systems, on tracks. There's room for a driver and a gunner, although it can be operated by a single person.
BTW: I devised a way to code these LL-type vehicles by coming up with a name first. This one's the BigAssGun, where B=2, A=1 and G=7. Simple and effective, right?

The gun has two 'ears' and two eyes, which are the highly sensitive sensors for the main targeting system.

The gunner sits behind the gun and rotates with it. The seat has a gyroscopic device, keeping it level when the gun rises and drops.

Great shot. Don't get cocky, kid!

The driver and his seat.

The second MOC is a rocket sled with a gigantic rocket engine, making it look rather silly. I like it.

Obligatory shot of its big behind.

Third MOC today is the LL-1333 Mobile Command Center. A team of scientists and communications officers on big wheels trudging across the moons of Uranus.

Look at them standing proud next to their vehicle!

Black demonstrates one of the three escape hatches, while Yellow demonstrates the dangers of being a total jerk here.

A look through the window at the communications team hard at work.

Even though they're all dressed the same, you can always tell who's the supervisor.

This is where the first computer games were made. It's a pity I don't have any photos of the other half of the com lab.

the fourth MOC today is a little microscale moonbase with landing platform. Don't pay too much attention to the buildings. I just made a bunch of micro ships and I thought it would be a nice addition to this post, so I made a little landing platform and tower for them. The living quarters came after that.

After the tower gave clearance, the space bomber sets out for a test run. What's our vector, Victor?

A group of small fighters sits waiting for some action.

I think these very simple little fighters are rather cute.

One of the bomber models.

An armed shuttle of another faction visiting the Classic Moon.

A little Blacktron for y'all!

Mmmm star fleet voyager colours. This is a bomber and a science ship.

A bulky cargo transport takes up two spaces to deliver some long awaited goods to the Classic Moon.

All the ships in one shot.
Hope you liked it!

I like the two land vehicles the most. Very nice creations using modern pieces, yet they still have that Classic Space look!
Thanks. I really enjoyed making these, as you might tell. |

Oh yes, yes, yes! I love the creations, and by God that is a lot of red spacemen. The bombers remind me of WW2 era bombers. Great work!
Good day
Yep, that's exactly the type of bomber that inspired me on this. |

You need a retro space police craft to ticket that cargo ship for that double-parking violation! Nice job, all-in-all very impressive! |

Spiffing creations, once again you hit the nostalgia strings. I sure like the playfulness of these, one could tell you had a great time building them. Classic space evolved, very Steef-ish. |

That cargo ship is double parking!! 900 credit fine (or whatever)! Anyhoo, That's great, man. I'm not into the whole classc space thing because the original sets were pretty pathetic. But these incorporate today's 'modern fashions' with that good old classic feel. Keep on brickin'! |

Very creative Steef, and you have some of the best lighting i've seen, very nice. I like the first ship the best. Did you have all of these older pieces sitting around, or did you get a 70's - 80's Lego hair up your back-side?? If you get a chance, maybe you could check out my debut ship...?
Thanks! I had most of the bricks laying around from before my first dark ages, especially all of the minifigs and dishes and computer terminals ;) I ordered some of those trans yellow windows and those large legs of the landing platform and some other stuff on bricklink a couple of months ago.

Oh yea! The first one and the third one are my favs. They deliver that strange, but somehow very beautiful, CS feeling in the best way, I think. Those ´ears´ are very funny. The minis also turned out very good, they would have looked kinda lost without the landing plattform! Cheers! |
