After the island of Korrothis rose into the sky, leaving the crescent shaped Isle of Thorns in its wake, a lake formed in the depression in the centre as seawater flowed in. It was later named Lake Silgarn, and became cultivated by the matoran there as a source of water and sport. But Lake Silgarn took on a sinister side.
After Lord Gringat made Korrothis airborne, pathways into the shadowy caverns beneath were exposed. Seawater flooded some of them. The Caverns of Shadow are the neglected areas within the metal shell of Mata-Nui himself, home to a host of malicious creatures and savage beings untouched by the Makuta who have never seen the surface. Amphibious creatures named Ja'kat attacked the island, and the Isle of Thorns is now caught up in the deadly war between the Ja'kat and the subterranean Ak-Matoran.
Pûhana is one of the many toa who answered the call for aid.
Like most of the Elemental Toa, Pûhana cannot remember her life as a matoran, except that she was friends with a male Vortixx she cannot remember the name of. She worked as a vigilante on the island of Metru Nui (this was after Web of Shadows) before answering the Isle of Thorns' call for aid. The Caverns sounded an awful lot like the rahi-ridden city she was fighting in. She was right.
Her powers came in very useful when she entered Lake Silgarn. Neon gas is lighter than water, allowing to buoy herself up or down with bubbles. An electrical charge causes Neon to glow orange, and she has several lamps built into her armour to allow her to see in the abyssal depths below The World.
Her sword and shield repel enemies as well as they harm them. The light the sword emits can blind most of the creatures that dwell there.
Her kanohi Kaukau allows her to wander through the lakewater-flooded tunnels without drowning, and the visor is equipped with sensors that detect enemy life signs.
A launcher on her shoulder can fire spheres of neon gas, which can manipulate itself into its enemies lungs or blind them with light in time for her to bring her sword in. It is equipped with a laser sight. She can also emit glowing plasma from her wrists.
-A longsword equipped with a neon bulb.
-A tower shield.
-Shoulder-mounted sphere launcher with laser sight.
-Wrist-mounted plasma emitters.
-Can manipulate Neon gas (she has never been anywhere cold enough to manipulate its other states).
-Can use neon to emit light.
-Very resistant to energy attacks due to being unreactive.
-Mask allows her to breathe water.
So. Another Elemental Toa from me. I hope you like her.
Again, this is a toa ShadowGear6335 beat me to, and again his is more comic-bookish while mine is scientific. These toa are actually helping me A LOT both with writing out my story for the Matoran Universe and also with my Chemistry revision :D Here is a link to Neonia.
"Pûhana" is a Mâori word meaning "Glow". This is the same language as Lego used for the names of the original Toa Mata.
She is made with an entirely new body design using Bohrok feet as the main torso. It is fiddly to make it work because her spine is two studs wide, and most Bio-MOCs are based on odd numbers.
And yes, I changed the bulb in Matoro's sword (Credits to Shadowgear for that). And yes, those are Exo-Force fibre-optics going down her arms.
