An underground station based on the Stortinget station in Oslo.
About this creation
This is a model based on the Stortinget underground station from Oslo. The model features the old Oslo underground train (T1000), but it is planned for it to include the new MX3000 train as well at a later point (the two of them will run one after another to make it look like there is constant flow).
The model was built as part of our group's one year long display in a toy shop in Oslo, which will be ready before May 2010. For that purpose, quite a few lights are installed to make it visible also for occasional night visitors. There is also a lot of brickwork around the station, but it is out of the scope right now and I will provide the pictures when the layout is completed.
Number of parts: approx. 6000
Building time: approx. 50 hours
More pictures (very large versions of the model are provided, to show the details):
Excellent work! You are really a pro builder. I hope to get near up to your level in the far future some time :)
I would really like to see this when all buildings is finished. I may jump onto a plane and take a quick trip down there for a weekend just to see this in person.
And for all other out there that don't understand the title "Småtinget" it is a pun on the name of the site it is modelled after; "Stortinget". Stortinget is translated to "parliament" in English, but could also be translated to "the big thing", and "Småtinget" is directly translated to "the small thing" :)
