BATTLESTAR RUBYCON ====BS 94
WELCOME TO THE RUBYCON My original design DIMENSIONS.... Length 1450mm x Width 560mm x Height 155mm 8417 parts in all.
About this creation
After the devastation of the 12 known colonies of man during the first Cylon war. billions lay dead on each world. Cities leveled to the ground. "MAN WON".
The Cylons retreated. The 12 Colonies managed to recover and a "One Government For All" 12 Colonies was established.

Unbeknown to the new Government a faction of the Caprican military decided to create a new colony. In case the Cylon's attacked again.
40 years after the Cylon's defeat. The Cylon's evolved to look like humans. Infiltrating the 12 Colonies. Conspiring from with in. "The Plan" was in motion ……

Corruption, greed, war and disregard for life on all 12 worlds became a ever aggressive cancer, even the President of the colonies was so corrupt, trillions of cubits could be lost in a blink of an eye. As a gesture of good will to the people he would have an inquiry and pocket the funds.
No one was immune from this cancer.

Over the past 40 years, the secret faction of the military had recruit millions of peace loving people all across across the 12 colonies to ensure the survival of all there race. The very best were selected in their field. Science, Agriculture, The arts. This colony became so advanced and enlightened it was light yearns ahead of the other 12 colonies.

The advancement of this colony and the total lack of this colonies existence aided in also secretly advancing the other 12 colonies arsenal of Battlestars.

One of the many advancements was the proposed creation of a devastating weapon which was alleged to be able to Nova a star.
The Quorum was brought to order to discuss this proposal of the implementation and further development of this weapon. President Adar made it well known that this weapon was too dangerous to implement and to costly to adapt the entire fleets.
His objection was solely based on personal gain. President Adar wanted this weapon in his own Battlestar to control the 12 worlds.

All 12 colonies voted against the creation of such a weapon so all documentation supposedly was destroyed.

With a blinding flash the 12 Colonies were laid waste as the Cylon's began their PLAN, Almost wiping the human race from existence.

The 14th Colony had completed their new Battlestar. At the time of the second Cylon war the Battlestar was in a remote system proving ground.

This pint sized Battlestar was able to jump into the insides of enemy vessel and destroy them from within. The only time the Cylons reported this incident was during their civil war, it was dismissed as a malfunction in the fuel containment pods leading to its destruction.

This Battlestar has in its heart a subspace quantum singularity, no limits to its potential.
Consisting of 3 meter thick dark matter composite phase temporal hull said to have been forged in the furnaces of hell its self, able to withstand the extreme pressures and temperatures of a star for 170 microns. This heavily armored vessel is able to deflect all known conventional kinetic and nuclear weapons.

This Battlestar is a PREDATOR.

6 complete viper squadrons
3 landing bays
2 Point singularity canons
12 retractable standard canons
The FTL drive was able to spool up in .3 sectons enabling it to jump in and out without detection.

Its conventional weapons are standard to the fleet but the ultimate weapon was the Star killer able to destroy an entire solar system in an instant.
When reports came back to the 14th colony, the New Battlestar was recalled and deployed to the 12 colonies to assess the threat level.

Total destruction. No survivors. Radiation at extreme levels. The worlds were lost.

The lone Battlestar embarked on a new mission to eradicate the Cylon threat forever.

As the colonial fleet discovered Earth and formed an alliance with the Cylons, This little Battlestar destroyed all known Cylon home worlds and eliminated the Cylon race forever.

PEACE fell for the first time in human history.

The 14th Colony with all its brilliant scientists were able to reclaimed the 12 worlds.
With Terra forming advancements, the Human race was reborn.
The name of the 14th Colony home world was named after the enlightened founder, Sires Cassiopeia.

The revolutionary Battlestar’s name is Rubycon.

Thank you for participating in my wild fantasy and I hope that you enjoyed reading and looking at the new Battlestar of mine.

POWER TO THE BRICK WITH OUT IT I COULD NOT BUILD THIS MOC.

I will be continuing to edit the story as I to improve the story line.

Quoting Peter Mowry Again great job on the build Garry. I really liked the back story. This concept design is great as well. One of my favorites of the ships you put together. Keep it up bro and sorry to hear about your mother. Hang in there.
Thank you Peter for your condolences. Mum's passing was sad and sudden. This was the last build she saw, I kept it as long as practical. This build had it's head aches and worth it. Cheers.

Quoting Mark Kelso What a blast! Great concepts in the story, and of course, the ship is just fantastic! Like the others, I'd LOVE to see more detailed pics. Meanwhile though, this really does justice to the conceptual and visual qualities of the BSG universe. Amazing work!
Sorry for my extreme tardiness in responding to you Mark. I thank you very much for all your kind words in regards to the RUBYCON... My mother passed away a few days after I posted the RUBYCON so I was in limbo land and still am in many ways. Now semi back in business. thanks again and love your work.

Quoting El Barto ! I don't remember that first pic--When did that get posted? Awesome! Some sort of twisting feature or stretching? I was thinking about my Last Chapter and this scenario, and wondering if they might actually be compatible in some sort of merged plot line?
Thank you El Barto the magnificent. Yes I am almost there and itching to get back into building. For now just up dating my images to add to the impact when viewing the Rubycon. If you wish to add to a series I am all for it story line and all. Perhaps with many brainy and talented builders we can make the next series in B.S.G. out of lego....

Quoting Ruud Hoogmoed Hi Garry, always a pleasure to watch your posts! I like the pictures combined with your story line. I can't imagine you'll take it out in parts someday. Those models are forever! Great work.
Thank you for your generous comments. Back into playing with the photos and enhancing what I have to make it look better. This model still survives in the packing crate waiting to see sunlight again. Soon I hope. then back into the swing of building. Keep up your terrific builds.

Quoting El Barto ! Just came over to check this out again! I saw that you commented on my latest Fleet build, but something was messed up with the photos, so I had to go back and reload everything...Pain in the... Anyway, this ship here still pops up on all sorts of Google searches. Again, well done!
Have to say I am envious of you at the moment as you have done something I was planning to do... now I will have to think of something else. I may have a house by the end of the year .... so watch out for more big builds. well done on your recent build and thanks for the comments and updates. I am stoked that this MOC was a hit as before my mum passed on she loved it..keep up the extraordinary work..

Quoting paul yperman See, this guy has it all. The story, the parts but most of all the talent to build this magnificent ships. One thing maybe. Those "photoshopped" pictures look great, even better than mine, but sometimes i'd like to have closer look on the details. And maybe you do not realise it anymore as you have been building it for so long, but there is lots to see, if you look at it with eyes of someone who has not build this baby. Maybe you can still add some close-ups. Anyhow congratulations and if possible do not take it apart.
Hey there Paul thanks for the great wrap I do have detailed shots of this and other mocs in brickshelf just type in Battlestar Rubycon and look in the folder the build. I am very aware of detail shots. If I ever dismantle this one I want to see how to rebuild it I have 1000 pics of this ship and have to select a few for displaying only I love detailed shots. That makes the build even more special. What you see in my pages are from 2009-2010 prior to that very little was custom built just bought sets. Thanks again and keep up the building. Bricks Rule

Quoting Clone Marshall "Adeo" CC-0707 . Wow, I love it, especially since it's such an unsual shape per the traditional Battlestar's. What I would really like to see a Battlestar from: Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, where in orbrit over one of the colonies is are several Battlestar's that get disabled by the Cylon virus, then they get utterly destroyed.
Howdy clone master. thank you for your gracious comments and as a return keep your eyes posted as the Battlestars that you seek are on my list. I still developing my skills to do them justice. This one has been part of the process. The one you are requesting is the Valkyrie style. I have 26 ships on my list as I say keep posted.

Quoting El Barto ! Oh, I wouldn't take this one apart! You'll never forgive yourself. Have you sent a pitch to Ron Moore? It is an aspect to the show that has yet to be covered. Did the 14th Colony bring back Pyramid? Go Bucks!
Not done a thing with it yet and have no idea about getting in contact. Just blown away with the response since the other mocs crawled along. Like your new logo as well and the "go bucks " In the Plan, the triad ball game was called Pyramid. Looks like I will have to locate Ron Moore. Thanks again keep up your great cgi ing

Quoting Parrington Levens Wow, it's like the show never finished, your 'cgi' & lego models would actually make for a better show than the original series! Heck, you ain't far off the recent one! Stunning! I may be going to far, but the Lego model is more believable than some of the renderings we saw on the recent show, which by the way was up ther with Angel and Super NAtural as the coolest show ever!!! Insane build dude, 20/5...
Thank you for the nice comments and the next problem will be which BS will be dismantled for the next moc and how to top this one. great encouragement makes for better mocs

Quoting El Barto ! Gotta love the story that goes with the futuristic battlestar design! Best ship yet! Where's the 3rd bay? And I like how you brought back the name Cassiopeia--she was hot on the old show!
Cassie was one hot lady for sure. The other landing bay is between the engines . I have updated the pics so that is it for now with this moc I will have all three in real life soon and then cgi fun with them all Thanks for the nice comments
