Previously: After starting a fight in the Bombshell Bar, Jake was thrown out of New Eden.
About this creation
Music for this part:

Jake was horrified at what he was seeing.

The military had spread through the whole city.

Smoking ruins were left where ever they went.

Civilians were being chased down the streets.

The general watched in front of an intact building.

Jake watched as the group disappeared down the street.

Once they were gone, he ran toward an intact building at the end of the street.

He watched as smoke came out of the building.

Jake called up to the second floor.
Jake: "Kira! Kira!"

No answer.

Worried, Jake kicked down the door.

The entire house was engulfed in flames.

Jake eased his way toward the stairs.

As he headed to the second floor, he heard a voice.
"Jake?"

"What are you doing here?"

Jake: "Kira! Thank goodness you're alive! Come on, we gotta get outta here."
Kira: "Alright."

Kira began climbing over the bed.

Suddenly, the wall was blown apart by an RPG.

Jake: "There's our way out!"

The two jumped from the building into the streets below.

Soon, more soldiers were surrounding them.
General: "Take the girl."

A soldier began draggin Kira away as another raised his gun toward Jake.
General: "Don't try it boy."

Jake watched as Kira was brought into a Raven.

The rest of the soldiers followed, leaving Jake behind.

Then, Jake lunged at a grenade a soldier was holding, activating it.

The grenade exploded under the soldier.

The man ran to the dropship holding his face. Jake tried to follow him...

but it was too late.

Jake sat on the ground, remembering his failure.

A man came up to him with his pistol.
"I think you dropped this."

Jake: "Thanks."

The man continued to speak to Jake.
"I think you should come with me. I know a place where you'll be welcomed."

Sorry for the long wait guys. Life's been pretty "GAH!" for me right now. I hope this was worth the wait though. More stuff has been answered, but more questions have been brought up. Feel free to speculate in the No Refuge group.

Sometimes I can't tell when he's dreaming or if it's a continuation from the moment where the last one left off, which is this?

Ill give you a hint. When he's in the blue jacket and it has both sleeves, and when you see the city fairly intact without any dirt around, it's a memory/dream. So to answer your question, the first part of this episode is a memory.

Quoting Dragonax Lord of all things black and creepy AWESOME!!! The cotton balls are good, but Iv'e seen it before. Still, cool MOC. Oh! And I figgured out why you used a flesh colered head, the general is the other succesful expeiriment from the lab, and he's pale from being in a stasis pod! Am I right? Am I right?
No, you're not. Sorry :( There haven't been any successful experiments yet.

Quoting Josh B. Once again, another epic part! I usually don't like non-lego elements in a creation, but I have to admit that the smoke looks wonderful! I also think I've figured out why the officer guy looks like that...but I don't wanna give it away if no one else has figured it out. That is if I am correct :P
I doubt you are, but Ill let you give it a shot. tell you what, give me your email address in the No Refuge group, Ill send you an email, then remove the comment with the address. Then we can talk one on one :)

Quoting Justin R. Nice chapter. I like the smoke effects! No music in this part? I think that the place the man is taking Jake will probably have the same people that Jake fought with in the bar.
Woa... I could have sworn I added the music. Dang it. Well, it's fixed now so you all can see the chapter as its supposed to be.

Another great chapter, probably my favorite so far. Always a great story when the character has a love interest that he's lost.

Quoting Christian Schlichting The granate doesn't have an affect on Jake? Curios moment but the rest of the scenes were good. Nice fire effects, show that you don't need graphic effects for good visuals. BTW, you're passed my own series with ep. 13 where i'm working for about 1 year now...
He got out of range just before it blew up.
