This popular '55 Bel Air has been transformed into raw 60's gasser racer. Weight has been reduced to minimum front has been raised into highs. Aluminium covered cockpit includes only most necessary stuff e.g. rpm-meter, small rollcage and a fuel tank. Yes, thats most important thing to put fuel tank into cockpit.
I first wanted to do this car in blue, but I couldnt find some necessary parts and i was forced to make it white. Actually this white choice is pretty nice since my white parts are wery torn up and they give some authentic feel to the car. 100+ races behind and still in primer paint :) Anyway, this car is pretty simple but i just wanted to try out how my '55 Chevy design looks in real life.
I came up with gasser-version as a suggestion from C. Harrison, thanks for the idea!
I like how you used the dirty pieces to give it a worn look. the engine is fantastic as always and all the little details make this a great MOC. btw i've just uploaded my "civilian" version of this fantastic car. please do check it out.
I like it
