"I have a bad feeling about this."
Classic Star Wars characters, in scale with set 4486.
About this creation
"Perhaps you are wondering why I have called you all here this evening..."
Set 4486, the Mini AT-ST and Snowspeeder, is one of my favorite official LEGO sets. The models are elegantly designed and look great, and the scale is nice.
I'd already created an AT-AT in the same scale, but I really wanted an orange-cylinder-and-white-dot "pilot-suit Luke" dangling from it. I don't have an orange cylinder, alas. But eventually I tried to make all the Star Wars characters I could at the same scale. This is what I came up with.
I don't believe I'm the first to try this sort of thing, but I don't recall seeing the whole gang at microfig scale before.
(I'm not quite satisfied with this Han Solo. He looks plausible, if you assume he's always facing away from you. But I suspect a better likeness is possible, and I'd love to be using that brown 1x1 for Lando instead. Some people add another dot to the tops of their microfigs, for hair or hats, but to me that style looks too tall.)
And the plain yellow C-3PO is a bit disappointing. I sure wish 1x1 cylinders came in chrome gold!
