AMC Hornet '73
AMC Hornet 1973 with twin turbo V8
About this creation
AMC Hornet, can any car be more boring? Actually that is not true. Most intresting "hot rods" are those which are as far away from traditional muscle cars and hot rods as can be. If you want to take the easy route, you go to car dealer and buy that green/black R/T Cuda.

Well, owner of this car wanted to do things little bit differently. This Hornet which he bought with some 60 dollars, has been transformed into very bad ass streetmachine. Once peaceful AMC car is powered with intercooled TWIN TURBO 360cid V8 engine. That package can easily give this car 1000+ horsepower, enough to take his owner into graveyard at any moment. This tough Hornet is also painted in sporty red with yellow stripe. Simple but effective.

There wont be other car like this in my collection for some time. The engine was real blast to design and build, it should be very accurate intercooled twin turbo. It was real fun to do that kind of a monster engine and stuff it to some very basic and maybe dull car (my opinion is that any Hornet is cool).

One of my true favourite models!

   Rear at the heights, ofcourse.

Hood was impossible task for this car. Anyway, that is also a show engine.

   Classic AMC front.

Even this view reveals that this is not just any regular Hornet.

   Doors open.

   Exhaust pipes.

Nice little detail is yellow fuel tank.

Those chrome pipes work great in this engine.

   Beautiful and powerful.

   Nice yellow seats.

   Aggressive placement of exhaust pipes.

   Cool angle.

With fenders removed, the engine design can be seen better.

That car is so cool! I love the attention to detail in the engine bay and the interior. If you could visit my site and write some reviews on some of my cars that would be awesome! Keep up the good work!

I think people are under-rating your car MOCs, these are really great, sure they aren't studless, but who cares, that's what legos are. AMC was such a cool car make, I wish they were still around. I really like all your cars, I didn't notice a Cuda or a Cutlass, those are two of my favorites, you should do them! Keep up the good work, I really like these cars, I'd like to try an old American muscle one of these days. Thanks for the review of my Rat Rod, you should check out Enzo Marsella's Rat Rod, his unspired me to do mine http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/29050
