Guys, for it to be a quint, it must have 5 components. Thus naming it a "Quint". Those 5 are as follows: Pump, Water Tank, Hose, Ground Ladders, and an aerial ladder (It can be a Tower, Mid Mount, Tiller, etc.). As long as it has those 5, its a Quint. With this truck having a 500 gallon water tank, unlikely. The biggest that I've seen a truck like this have is 300 gallons. But its you're truck, and you can do with it what you want.

1500 Gallon tank is waaaaay to much. Most towers/ladders have a 300-500 gallon tank, and quints usually in the 500-100 gallon range.

Will, No. Quints are Ladder trucks with Pumps. For instince Pleasant Hills truck, its a Tower, but has no pump, therefore it makes it a Tower-Ladder. But if it has a pump, like Castle Shannons, it can be considered a Quint or a Towe-Ladder. So really, he can call it what he wants. -Lee
