Nobody is quite sure which planet Eldritch cruisers are from. Their crews simply glare over the commscreen when asked. Initial rumors suggested their planet was destroyed by the UNE, but Eldritch fleets are too well supported. Recent theories suppose that the UNE asked this same question more than once.
About this creation
IPBM x 4 or 28 S2S cruise missile
Crew: Captain, enginer, weapons operator
The Eldritch's role in battle is to provide highly mobile, semi-covert delivery of interplanetary ballistic missiles(IPBMs). Eldritch cruisers specialize in hit and run missions. After their 4 IPBMs strike their target, there is no reason to stay. Modular cruise missile launchers can also be fitted for non IPBM delivery missions.
Eldritch cruisers are unsuitable for front line duty in pitched battle. The sensor cluster and targeting computer are optimized for long range encounters. The computer can be made to track targets for the 4 railguns, but performance is less than optimal. The shield system consists of 4 charged particle field emitter/controllers. They maintain a charged particle shield which scatters almost all laser energy. Interference from the thruster array and sensor cluster cause thin patches ahead of and behind the ship. The thruster array is small for a ship of this size. It is meant for aligning the ship for a spacefold.
The movable landing gear are shown here in yellow so you can see them properly.

BONUS PICTURES: The Eldritch II assault cruiser is an upgraded eldritch. an additional sensor cluster is dedicated to the railguns. An additional particle shield controller is added. A modular medium range missile pod is used in place of two of the IPBMs. The thruster array is more powerful. Supplemental particle shield controllers are added to the cockpit pod, and crew capacity is increased. a dedicated railgun marksman is added.
