American Psycho - Hip To Be Square
About this creation

"There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman. A sort of abstraction. But there is no 'real' me - only an entity; something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable, I simply am not there..."

A simple vignette depicting Patrick Bateman killing Paul Allen with an axe to Huey Lewis and the News' "Hip To Be Square."

I will not link to the scene because it is explicit; however, I have coupled my photos with the audio, which can be found here.

Have you considered doing the entire apartment? You should.

Hmmm, is Dave directly quoting the book? Its been a while, but I seem to recall whole chapters which were album reviews (Phil Collins/ Genesis?) which made the read a slightly surreal experience. Anyway, the build is great, love your clever command of shapes and posing as per. The ashtray and cigar, is that a cut rod or have you played a clever trick with the build?

I LOVE this movie and this is, by far, one of the funniest, most disturbing scenes. Oh yeah, what Dave said too:)

Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
