Are you sick of attaching awkward pieces to your figs just so you can strap a gun onto his side? Are you tired of those burdensome claw pieces on the back of your soldiers? Well, fear not, kids. Spaz is going to save your Spartans!
About this creation

As you can see, the sword is cleanly in the (invisible) sheath of our brave guardsman. No, it's not glue! No, it's not a hidden stud!

... no Jimmy, it's not witchcraft.

It's... those annoying as hell rubber bands that you have to put in your head while you have braces on!

And now they have finally gone to a good cause. Jeezus. I hated those things.

These crimes against humanity / miracles of nature have three distinct advantages:

1) They are clear, meaning the viewer has to be looking specifically for the rubber bands.

2) They come in packs of fifty trillion. Or some other outrageously high number.

3) They fit perfectly around a minifig.

To apply, just stretch one out a little bit, hook one side onto the toes of the minifig, and slide it up to the belt-ish area. Or some other place, but belt seems to work the best.

Of course, no invention is without flaws. Depending on what weapon you attach to the fig, the visibility of your band can range from "how did he do that?" to "oh, lookie; rubber band".

Swords generally work better than guns, considering that most guns have rough surfaces and swords are smooth; perfect for attaching a hopefully invisible rubber band to.

Also, you can attach things to the side of your trooper. Of course, this has the same disadvantage as the Indiana Jones pur- I mean satchel.

So what are you waiting for? Order now and get a free discount! That's a seventy-eight cent value for only $19.95!

Or just ask your brace-face friend for a pack. The orthodontists usually let them have as many packs as they like.

I did a similar technique. Though with a shield. Can you take a look?

Now theres a neat idea. I never had these when I had braces, but Mom has similar bands that she uses for her hair. But I think I'll stick to the Technic Bands. 5/5! ~See you in Space!
