CYN-8D Cyanide Destroyer Class Mech
CYN-8D or Cyanide Destroyer Class-Mech is the personal command mech of Dr. Mikhail Whackemoff. Although his latest ventures are in the realm of bio-mech technology, this black beauty is designed to highlight his skill in good old fashioned mechanical ass-kickery! Based on the overall shape of another highly popular yet currently classified "unseen" mecha of yore, the Cyanide does one thing exceptionally well. It blows stuff up! By packing a host of weapons that would get any mech-jock all hot and steamy combined with the most lightweight, synthetically fused diamond armor plating and reinforced chassis, one look is all most enemy pilots ever get to see since they usually dont live long enough to get a second glance.
About this creation

Here we see Dr. Whackemoff with the canopy popped open for some fresh air. Guess he shouldn't of eaten that beef and bean burrito supreme before heading off to battle (Wow, that's a lot of B's for such a short sentence)!

Complimentary frontal shot.

Solo side shot only buckeroos. How'd that get in here?

The butt shot, every body needs one!

The Decimator-5 series autocannon provides excellent range and accuracy for a ballistic weapon. It is mounted on a 360 degree swivel turret located on top of the left shoulder.

The Guardian Anti-Missile Gun is found on the right shoulder. A purely defensive weapon, it automatically tracks any incoming flight of missiles and fires off a burst to blow them right out of the sky!

On both sides of the torso, an extended range medium class laser cannon has been mounted to icrease an already obscenely amount of forward mech-fragging firepower.

"I love the smell of extra crispy infantry in the morning!" A quote taken directly from the mouth of Dr. Whackemoff as he installed his Georgie Goremann 5000 mega-flamethrower on yet another turret built under the center toreo.

Here we get to see the stylizied rendition of the multi-jointed arm assembly with the infamous arm paddle packing the classic particle projectile cannon and medium class laser that Dr. Whackemoff stole, umm researched, yeah that's it for his beloved killing machine.

Gratuitous leg shot showing the foot and lower leg assembly.

Another gratuitous leg shot this time showing the connection to the outer torso along with the primary heat release vents. In this shot the jump thrusters, although hidden, can be seen behind the flamethrower mounted in the rear of the center torso.

It's so nimble it can even do the hustle (yeah I know its the same picture as the cover shot, not to mention now I'm really showing my age with that disco remark)!

Which do you prefer, the killer classic style or nightmarish bio-mecha monster?

From what I can gather about Dr. W, he is one crazy guy. This mech suits (see what I did there?) him very well. "I need big weapons." "There, you have a flamethrower." "Weapons. Plural. Many. Add more!"

Quoting El Barto ! What a beast!
Thanks although I thought you already saw this old mech a long time ago. Maybe this is an early sign of me losing my marbles now that I crossed into the threshhold of the 40 somethings. I can't remember, wait, who am I again?

Quoting Mike C I have to say this mech sure does pack quite a punch. It is a serious machine.
Thanks, it's one of older designs but I still like it. Sadly it has been scrapped for parts and now only lives in digital memories.

Quoting Cody G Not bad! A little beefing up on the arms and you're golden!
I'll keep that in mind for a V.2. When I built this one, the inspiration was the Battletech Marauder a.k.a. Macross Zentrani Command Pod. It had large paddle hands housing the guns with those skinny arms for maneuverability. In that respect, it's not too far off.

Quoting Carter W. Needs some happiness for that Cyanide. Also, please tell me you actually get that joke.... :p
I would like to say I get it but my feeble old mind regularly suffers bouts of C.R.S. or Can't Remember S#!+ so I'm afraid I missed the boat on this one, sorry! If you wish to enlighten me please do so. Either way thanks for the input on my MOC.

Quoting Mattia Del Rosso Very cool! I like the whole mech, in particular the right shoulder gun. I always liked black mechs! Bye
Thank you as well. I had to have at least one Battletech inspired mech in my stable and the Marauder is a classic design that can always be recognized no matter how much customization you give it.

Quoting CEO Luiz Camargo I have no words to describe the awesomeness of this mech...
Thank you. It's nice to see one of my older works still drawing praise from another talented builder. I have to admit I was a bit disappointed at first that this one didn't gather more notice when I first posted it but that's the way things go sometimes. I'm hoping my newest creation (soon to be posted) fares better.

Thank you for the comment. I'll keep the tutorial idea in mind. That's one one area I'm not very familar with so I would have to do some research before embarking on such a bold new venture.

Quoting Parrington Levens Now that's A MEch! ANd exactly what this group is for, trying to give another run to awesome underappreciated stuff like this. A brutal visage, and yet completely futuristic! That orange canopy is so well incorparated it's insane, and really speaks to the bulk of this thing. Top Mech Mike, and welcome to the group...
Thanks on multiple levels and glad to be apart of another one of your fine groups. I'm sure I said this somewhere else but feel free to incorporate anything you like here on your next design. It's like anything with LEGO. The more you build in a new genre, the better you get with practice and time. So I'm sure your next mech will be better that the first. Just go for it!

Quoting Mithryl Dlarix Extremely cool--you should put a closed-canopy shot as your cover pic though--the open canopy one makes it hard to see what I am looking at.
Thanks for letting me know about the cover pic. Maybe that's why it hasn't as many reviews as I thought it would. I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

Much better choice on the cover pic. Now it really stands out on your homepage. Something this good deserves to put its best foot forwards. Thanks for your comment about posing stuff. I wish that I had better photography skills. One thing I notice about a lot of people's MOCs is that they are not in motion. Lego, to me is very vibrant and alive, or at least it should be. So, that life and motion is something I try to incorporate into my stuff, even if it is only in a small way.

Quoting Jason Dominguez A beautifully crafted mech. It reminds me of Mechwarrior to be honest, but the cannons on the shoulders are different. Black was a good color-choice for it.
You're right about that. This my homage (okay ripoff) of the Marauder 3025 mech with notable changes to avoid copyright infringement. As far as the Mechwarrior remodel is concerned, I'm only guessing it's from a video game version that I have never seen. So I can't even comment on the what the shoulder cannons look like. All in all though, I'm just glad this one's still getting some kudos.

Thanks! Most of the parts came from the Robo Attack-Agents 2.0 set with a few extras I had laying around. Now if I could only come up with a diorama that looks good to put it in (I don't have much expertise in this area).

Agreed. I can see a slice of HAM sprinkled with some Cyanide creating a delectiable duo! or maybe I'm just hungry.
