Rapunzel's Tower
About this creation

"Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your long hair!"

My take of the classic Brothers Grimm tale, heavily inspired by Peleš Castle in Romania. The rounded brick technique is compliments of the clever Deborah Higdon.

Fantastic. I'm particularly fond of the shape of the ground below. It's a nice contrast, and the simple lead-up to the top of the tower is great.

I'm gonna give it to you up straight Mr. Schwartz. This is amazing. Some creations I don't feel like they deserved all of the comments they get, ( A couple of them are yours.... =# ) however I think that this creation is just amazing. Beautiful sculpting on everything, especially the room at the top. The plants on the sides are a nice touch, and suggest the princess has been there for a long time. I also really like the theme you used, I've always had a fascination with fairy tales. Excellent work Mr. Schwartz, cheers.

Huge, and a very detailed clocktower. Maybe you could add some explanation 'bout the round building technique. Because on the picture it's hard to see how it's done. Anyhow lego and round do match. Congratulations.

Nice work! I saw this in Brickjournal and the article was really well done. It was neat how you explained how you came up with the idea and I really like the building technique you used to achieve the round tower. I will most certainly be...ahem...borrowing that.

I've been a long time fan of your work, Jordan, but don't think I've commented before. If anything, you've definitely proven you're consistent. Consistent at constructing phenomenal MOCs that leave me awestruck and more than just a tad jealous. This is simply fantastic. Awe-inspiring. No other way to describe it. Congrats on another incredible, creative creation.

Just killer MOCage, Jordan! Love the form on that tower. We've come a long way in the past few years at getting Lego to bend and curve for us, and this tapering tower is at the forefront of the advancements. Brilliant work!

What is that rounded brick technique? I've been looking at it trying to figure it out. Is it just a bunch of Bracket 1x2 - 1x4 (peeron part #2436) held together by 1x2 plates on the inside and 2x2 plates on the outside?
