1993 Lamborghini LM002
This is a model of the Lamborghini LM002 Sport Utility Truck produced from 1986-1993. The purpose of the LM002 was to replace current military vehicles in Middle-Eastern and European countries. The so called "Rambo Lambo" was a massive vehicle with a lot of power and off-roading capability however, it costed a lot of money to produce so it was never adopted by a military. Only 301 were ever produced, some basic ones and others with the special trim package (the one I built). PLease enjoy and leave comments! This is my largest car yet!
About this creation
Reference picture.

Rear 3/4 view of this beefy truck!

Side view. The proportions came out nicely on this model!

Front view. Notice the winch? If you want to see more about the winch, please check out my 1967 Ford Bronco model.

Front suspension flex.

Rear suspension flex.

This is a close-up of the front suspension. It's the basic LEGO design with added features like a skid plate and bumpers.

Size comparison of the Lambo to my Firebird.

All doors open (tailgate not opened in picture).

The tailgate folds down for easy loading. Notice that the bed of the truck contours to the suspension setup.

The 7.2 liter V12 engine. Lamborghini used the same V12 that was used in the Countach but modded it for higher torque and added an incredibly reliable air cleaning system.

Interior. Civilian LM002s were very plush and featured lots of leather in your choice of black, grey, tan or red. Some even came equipped with built-in telephones!

This truck was so special that it played the main role in short, terribly made animation the my friend and I made called Lambo! It's alrgiht to watch if you have a decent attention span.

OH my God!... Simply exquicit. I'm a huge fan of the car nad the model is flowless. I also add tons of respect that the model is actually constructed and functional with suspension, engine, doors, trunk... everything!... Congratulations!

Excellent! It was a very good idea that you made a LM002, because there are too much Murcielagos and Gallardos on MOCpages.... Great job!

Quoting Darnell T. Please tell me you didn't destroy that in the video.
Nope, that part was actually filmed before I even made the truck. And it's just a bunch of random white pieces and tires that we dumped down the stairs.

Very very very cool! It combines my two favorite features in a car: tough off-road capabilities and a Lamborghini badge ;). Great details you put into that thing. By the way, this is probably the only car where those wide wheels make sense. Good work!

Wow this is great. A wonderful offroader. This is the car for the sjeiks at Dubai. The magnificent V12 engine and the cool exterior. You've made it perfect. This is as good as my Concept Tank 2, maybe even better. The details are great and the engine is perfect. The interior is good (I like the way you've made the rear seats and the inside doorhandles). It has the chassis of the 4404 Landbuster, right. Maybey to improve it, put an extra pair of springs on each side, so at each wheel 2 springs. Than you can really go off-road ;). The white colour is a very good colour for the Lm002. So a perfect 10/10 ;). Keep building my friend ;).

The truck is 18-wide, bigger than my charger

Quoting Fred Ottens Great model of a great car !! I think it was called " Lamborghini Cheetah", I've got a few scale-models of it. Anyway, nice car, good presentation too.....
Thanks! Cheetah was the name of the truck when it was in it's concept stages as a military vehicle. The Cheetah was actually a variant of the (much uglier) LM001, but without doors.

EPIC build, Dylan! The shape and details are spot-on, as to be expected from you. I'll always be a Hummer fan, but it still would have been cool if this thing had found its way into the U.S. military.

I never knew that there was ever a car that looked that awesome in the 20th century. And about your model: I’m pretty sure that it couldn’t be beat at that scale, unless, of course, if you added PF.

Well, I gotta tell you one thing. I remember this model. I saw it in the 90's and I never liked the design of it. It looks ugly if you ask me but you made it look cool! Well done! This model of yours turned out better than the original. Way better!

Very nice! Most of the buyers were oil barons in the Middle East. It must have been handy to have your own oil field when you had a car that ran out of fuel every 500 metres...

This turned out to be great! this is really awesome! I really like how accurately you designed the body. I really like the details on this one- like the engine bay and the interior. I especially like the use of the piston rods for door handles. Also great work on the suspension. Great work! Keep building! -Anthony Dunne
