Sir Edward Thackery and his personal maritime transport, The Otter.
A Steampunk boat for (yet another) contest entry.
About this creation

Sir Edward Thackery and his personal maritime transport, The Otter.

Lightweight, flexible and fast due to it's largely wooden construction, it retains enough strength to withstand open seas for a channel crossing, but is largely used to traverse the British canal system and rivers at high speed. Sir Edward's driver and engineer, Shawcross, handles the operation.

Shawcross is a rough fellow with a vulgar turn of phrase, but he is sturdy and reliable and has saved the gentleman's skin on more than one occasion.

Cabin roof removed to show the controls for the Otter's steering and steam-propulsion system

Sir Edward Thackery, Baronet of Mackworth and Diplomatic courier to the court of Queen Victoria.

Which is actually his cover for being a spy and general cad in her majesty's service.

Armed with his favoured rapier and an experimental magnetic pistol.

A contest entry for the Lego Contest Network on Flickr, Steampunk category ,and my first go at Steampunk.

Thanks for looking!

Hey, is it Steampunk or something? What is this 'read' you speak of? Is there a movie or mimi-series I could watch instead? Perhaps an audio version I could just listen to?! LMAO Anyway, sweet schooner.~H

Well aren't you Mr. Whimsical here. Hey, wasn't that guy the first man to climb Everest? Oh, no that was Edmund Hillary...close enough.

A great design in overall and the attention paid to details is outstanding. As others have pointed out, the control room and the engines are eye-catchers.
