They all went inside and dropped down onto the cold, stone floor.

They all unclipped and Blast laid the sleeping Jelli on a small ledge that protruded slightly into the cave from one of the walls.

He went back to the others who were all sat in a group on some small rocks a few meters from the entrance. Blast pulled of his helmet and shook his head as he sat on one of the rocks. He sighed.
“We need to all get some sleep. It’ll be an early start in the morning.” Everyone nodded in agreement.

“Why the hell did we come out this way and not go straight towards the base?” Padfoot asked and also removed his helmet.

“Because if we went straight towards the base as you suggest, then the F.I.S. radars would pick us up and we’d be done for. If we follow the diagrams and markings on this map,” Blast replied and pulled out the blueprints of the F.I.S. base, “Then we should end up at the only entrance that is not covered by surveillance.”
“Why isn’t it covered? Why have they left an entrance unguarded?” Hess asked.

“Because they don’t know it’s there.” R.K. answered simply then added “Goodnight” stood up and walked towards the back of the cave.
“I’m going to turn in too.” The medic said and moved away from the main group.

One by one each of the other members of the team moved off and fell asleep. But one person could not sleep.

Blast sat with his back against the wall listening to the wind howling past outside. He studied the piece of paper in his hands. He traced the secret route into the base backwards away from it until he reached the entrance point, there he stopped and tapped it. He wasn’t one hundred percent sure he knew where it was. It was marked as being in a cave and there was only one cave one the map. So that must have meant they were in the entrance cave, but there were no passageways anywhere.

Jelli coughed and he looked up at her as she turned over in her sleep and settled down again. He looked back at the map and rubbed his chin.

After a few more minutes he folded the paper and put it in his pack, lay down, got as comfy as possible on the hard ground and closed his eyes. The last thing he remembered thinking about before drifting into the realm of dreams was wondering how they were going to wake up at the right time in the morning.

BUT WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT? FIND OUT IN PART 5! COMING 30TH APRIL!
