FA-132a "JacKnife" Aerospace Superiority Fighter: AEGAKS ENABLED
A light fighter for Aerospace Supremecy. An extension to the Exo Force Story Redux that I'm now currently working on.
About this creation

The AEGAKS enabled aircraft, the "JacKnife". An extremely fast, and extremely agile fighter designed to rule the skies in support of the AEGAKS on the ground. Being AEGAKS enabled, the pilot links to it as he/she would with an AEGAKS mecha. This was started as an elongated AEGAKS pilot block, which evolved into this fighter. It was inspired by the FA-22 and several anime styled fighters that I've seen in various animes.

The pilot of this unit is a provisional character in my impending Exo Force Story rewrite. He is Hayato's older brother, who is not introduced until much later. His name is Misato.

The JacKnife's primary strength is its speed and agility. It can only mount four missiles, seen here with only wing mounts. The black tank is a reserve fuel slug. And there are two machine guns, one on either side of the cockpit.

A look at the back of the JacKnife, showing the engine nacelles. I originally planned for "leg" engines similar in concept to a guardian mode veritech(valkyrie). This fighter was actually too small to accomadate such a design comfortably, so I went with a more traditional design.

The mid-air fueling rig, which folds foreward. The JacKnife carries fuel, though it is also equipped with the powercell of the type as used by the AEGAKS mecha. However, since the JacKnife is transorbital and space worthy, it should be noted that the ability to carry fuel was a crucial necesity. Also, for space manueverability, the JacKnife has a highspeed gyration unit mounted in it's center of gravity, aiding its manueverability tremendously.

The fuel rig's nozzle, at the end, is made from a BA monopod, BA U-clip, and a new BA energy pistol. This was an interesting way to use it, and decided that I like it.

Front comparison of the Jacknife and Dagger fighters. The Dagger outguns, the JacKnife outruns.

Back Comparison of the JacKnife and Dagger fighters. The Dagger is still run by standard controls, where as the JacKnife is nuerally linked and can react as fast as the pilot can.

Quoting Brody Allen I really like your wing designs. The contrast in shapes, colors and angles are really interesting and well thought out. The gray wings give it volume while still keeping it sleek and the black wing shape is unique and inspiring.
Thanks, this was something of an experiment. It wasn't meant to be a final model, but I rather much enjoyed the shape, it was unusual.

Quoting David Calvet Very cool fighter. I particularly like the practical details, like refueling capability.
Thank you. Most of the time, I exclude entanglements like fuel, but for this one, the BA plasma gun inspired me. And it turned out so well. I may do a rebuild of this one.

Quoting Toni Legomaniac You should do something with that nose - lower part doesn't follow the glass from abowe. You did that with almost every mech too. Apart from that everything else is excellent.
Well, you see, it's the way the design worked out. The hinge is jutting out, but it had to be that way. I'm still experimenting with it though.

Right where you said something about extending Exo Force... that is totally what I did. The battle machines were cool and all, but I loved building tanks, trucks, and other vehicles to add to my version of Exo Force. Onto the build, really sweet. My favorite part would have to be the fold out fuel boom. That's pretty cool. Overall, great build.
