About this creation
Before you read on, I'd like to apologize for the less-than-fantastic photography below. I was in a hurry to take it then break it, if you know what I mean. Got several projects backed up, waiting for dark grey pieces.
Second, I'm not exactly ecstatic with how this MOC came out, there might be a v2 later on, but for now I need a break from aircraft. I plan to refine my mech building skills, and will observe the prowess of Brian, Ryan T.M., Dali Zheng, and Jason Corlett. So if any of you guys are reading this, just know that I'm stalking you! ;) We'll see how that goes.
Lastly, I guess this will be my dedication to that fantastic builder Nnenn. I didn't know him or know of him, until after he passed, but I checked out his Flikr page, and was astounded by the skill and originality in his creations.

This bomber is the hammer of the USRG. Without it, the infantry wouldn't stand a chance against heavily fortified enemy objectives. This bad boy softens up the ground targets so that the infantry and mechs can do their job at peak efficiency.
It can carry fourteen standard bombs (forget the tonnage) each with a quarter-mile blast radius, eight bunker-buster bombs with a lower blast radius, but heavy armr smashing capabilities, or eight high explosive/incendiary bombs, with a half-mile balst radius, pick one. Or mix and match. Since the bomber has two racks, you can carry four bunker busters and seven standard, or four high explosive and four bunker busters, whatever you want!
Other than the bombs, this devil is lightly armed, carrying only two machine cannons and an AA turret to keep enemy fighters off of it. This turret is controlled primarily by the gunner, but can be set to automated control, which results in lower accuracy. However, this frees the gunner to release the bombs over their targets. blahblahblah, let's get on with the pics.
And now, ladies and hooligans, may I present a neak peek of the USRG Jungle Mech! Or whatever I'll call it...

Sweet bomber design! A nice throw-back to the straight-wingers of old. Good going! |

Very well done, Dr. You do realize that this will be fodder for the Union interceptors I haven't even made yet, right? Hahaha... Oh, those last few pics had me licking my chops. Can't wait! |

There are two things that I really cannot make. They are tanks and airplanes. |

How can you possibly not like how it turned out? This is amazing, how did you do the wings like that? I am thinking of doing a large scale aircraft about the size of this one, so if you have any pointers, that would be awesome. The underside of this bad boy is amazing too. Keep 'em coming! ~Waff |
