WSN-4A Whip Scorpion-4 Artillery Mech
WSN-4A Whip Scorpion-4 Artillery Mech is the fourth monstrosity spawned by the brilliantly twisted mind of Dr. Whackemoff. The primary role of this beast is long ranged fire support. Unlike his previous creations, the Whip Scorpion was forged solely with brute force in mind. It canít jump and it doesnít run very fast compared to its predecessors, but it sports the heaviest armor yet seen on any bio-mech. What it does is literally climb any obstacle (thanks to its total of ten legs!) in its path that it canít simply smash right through or blow away. Initially Dr. Whackemoff was planning to build a second version of the Archangel when a whip scorpion wandered into the bio-growth chamber and contaminated the raw cells to be used. However the final result was so pleasing in form that the doctor thought he may have created his best work to date! It has been rumored that he is now considering using more hapless critters he can acquire just to see what comes out!
About this creation

Rear View

Sneaking up on the rear of this mech is not an option either since it has a twin barrel pulsating laser tied to its own optic targeting sight ready to deliver a nasty surprise for the unwary!

For more up close combat, each forelimb has a pair of powerful sickle-like claws designed to tear through reinforced concrete walls or enemy armor. There is also a small caliber laser cannon hidden between the blades for that personal touch.

Gratuitous belly shot. It's been said if you rub its belly it will coo sweet nothings in your ear and then stomp you flat!

To protect it from enemy aerial attack, the Whip Scorpionís main weapon is the Succubus Surface to Air Missile. These missiles literally suck the life out of its targets by firing directed electromagnetic pulses from the slit in the nosecone at any enemy within 200 meters. The missile itself flies for 10 minutes before it burns up its fuel or is shot down. With eight of these missiles on board, no conventional enemy aircraft will be able to approach within striking distance for up to 80 minutes while on the battlefield.

The Nightmare Artillery Cannon is a devastating weapon. It can fire either traditional armor-piercing high explosive shells or a scatter-shot round resembling a shotgun blast up to a range of 5 kilometers. Any small or medium sized mech hit by one the conventional rounds will be crippled if not outright destroyed. The scattershot is ideal for punching holes in multiple lightly armored targets that are within 100 meters of each other. It has also proven invaluable in destroying enemy aircraft as a secondary weapon. Traditionally the Whip Scorpion carries 20 standard and 20 scatter rounds per cannon but this can be changed depending on the mission.

Our pilot sits up to bask in the landscape of broken toys he just blew away!

A boy and his killing machine, how touching.

Quoting Parrington Levens Quoting Parrington Levens A mech that would make H.P.Lovecraft smile! Cool as. Love the D'Niro line at the end with the all out frontal weapons assemble promising doom... Thank goodness somebody else remembers that line. I was starting to think I was getting too old for this site and it was time to hang it up for good! By the way, do you think any of these kids even know H.P. Lovecraft is? I guess we have to bring back the classics and educate the masses. ***** Yeh it's strange that the older you get, the less interest you have in the modern world...Always the old seems better...
I guess it's the nostalgia for "the good old days" kinda thing. Perhaps it's a way of making something seem familar that we would never get to experience in our lifetime otherwise.

Quoting Berial . Nice mech,I love all the fire power!
Thanks. This was my first attempt to build something that was supposed to be completely different from a usual upright humanoid shaped mech. The funny thing was that when I first started to build this thing, my intention was to build a black quad bio-mech. I glad this is what popped out instead. It's more my style anyway.

Quoting Jonathan Ladner Man this is cool, just love the weapons
Thanks, I apprecriate it! I personally think the missile launcher came out the best on this one. I tried to make it look as authentic as possible.

Quoting Yuri Fassio Not only it was the only entry, it's also very cool.
You mean nobody else has entered? I wanted to win but not like this! Is there any way of drumming at least a few other contestants? Don't tell me that builders have lost interest in MAOX and AcheoGenis while I was away!
