Glomshire Knights Prepares for Brickworld!
Hey everybody, I'm Bob the Wizard!
About this creation

Hello, and welcome to the Glomshire Knights Brickworld preview.
This is a small preview of the stuff Dennis is building to promote Glomshire Knights and b>The Brick Comic Network! at Brickworld! I'm standing in front of the main gate to the city -- eventually he's going to build a few houses to go behind it to create the illusion of a massive walled city. After all, it's a comic and most of the stuff you see in it is an illusion anyway.

Hold on, I think . . . . yes, there's someone with more screen time about to enter the scene. Should I turn him into a newt? No, he'd only get better. Lads and lasses, here's Ewart!

What up, Bob? Shouldn't you be doin' some magikin' or sumptin?
Ewart, knock of the street slang. You're not that cool.
Well, exxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxccccccuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuusssssssssssssssssseeee meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

As you can see, here in Glomshire we like our soldiers to be brave and fearless . . .
GAAAAAAAAAAA! What do you mean, I have to go to Brickworld! I get carsick!

I'm outta here!

That wimp. Anyway, if the mediocre wall doesn't get eyes on the table, maybe this will: The Ranger Outpost!

Nestled in the mountains not far from the borderlands, this outpost is an integral part of Glomshire's defenses and it also serves as a training site for new rangers.

Look closely and you'll see one of our best rangers putting a recruit through the paces.

Gil: And that's why you should never wear plaid with stripes. Clang! Also, remember to never wear white after Labor Day.
Recruit: Are you telling me this to distract me or something?
Gil: No, you're a horrible dresser. Those socks simply do not go with your outfit.

Meanwhile, inside the outpost, three senior rangers are talking shop.
"That's right, Nebunk. When you smear yourself with bear droppings you never have to worry about being mauled."
"Then how do you explain what happened to my uncle Stinky?"

Up top, Fregar relieves Sventa on watch. What they're watching for, I'm not sure, but I do know that there's trouble brewing in the dark mountains. But for now, let them have their fun, camping in the woods and playing scout. It sure beats anything else going on in Glomshire!

Notes and other mutterings:
Both of these models are indeed going to Brickworld, and you should too! Of course, these aren't the only things I'm planning on taking, but it will form an important part of my table. I hope to finish up a couple medieval market style houses before heading to Chicago, but if I don't then these should do the job nicely. I have a few other models that are going, and I've got to start some vehicles for Dave and Stacy Sterling's layout as well. That's right -- if there's anyway I can cabbage onto the glory of someone else's work, I'm all over it!

Well, that's all from us for now. Be sure to rea Glomshire Knights! Also, somebody needs to tell Kelso that the Fist of Chaos, or whatever that thing is he's building is caled, has some competition. And that competition is . . . Chris Phipson's Tron builds.

Your rangers could use quite a bit of work, they look more like forestmen. Rangers also didn't usally carry swords, The standard ranger weapons where a long bow w/ arrows, a throwing knife, and a saxe knife. Rangers also wore cloaks. Other than that these are good!

Quoting Malik Primus Don't forget to re-enforce the portcullis gate.
What, reinforce it? This is Glomshire. We'll just have Ewart stand there . . .

Long live Glopshreker Knights (or whatever you call it)! Looking forward to a weekend of pillaging and mayhem amidst these fine castle walls. Gird up thy loins for the field of feasting, and unleash the virgins...and all that other medieval-type-stuff!

Quoting Garth Danielson You've got some good set. If you've got a laptop you might think about making a slide show of the comic series and people can see sample pics etc. Or maybe print out some sample pages for display. That tree house seems mighty exposed. The guys could get shot pretty easy up there. see ya. garth
Yep, planning on running a loop of strips on the laptop. As for the exposed position of troops in the tree house, all I can say is that knowing the luck of the Knights, the enemy's going to bypass this position anyway. Hmmmmm, plot idea? We shall see . . . .

Where's the death and dismemberment? It ain't castle without blood and guts, but this isn't too bad. The wall could be higher and have more detail -- such as a horde of screaming Vandals scrambling up the wall or somebody using a catapult to toss dead cattle into the city.

The Ranger Outpost is really cool - reminds me of the Swiss Family Robinson (I promise you that is a compliment). Can't wait to see this one in person and I can't wait to park the Bananamobile in front of the hotel...that's just full of potential for crazy stories!

The tree house is cool, and the wall exactly what i would like to imagine my Legonia city walls. Good luck at Brickworld. The comicsite is well done, too. Unfortunately, my works don't fit the right layout and i haven't any private site organized.

Excellent stuff as always but, sadly, I can not go to Chicago and see your work in person as I have a prior engagement at LEGOLAND California next week for a build off. I hope to do well there, too. Hopefully, I will win the annual MOC-off or whatever that they have there and get something really cool like a really big gift card to make a SHIP?

Nice little story. That gate is wonderful! And where are those ranger torsos from? And are you going to include Robin Hood as a cameo appearance in the next issue? That'll be funny!

It's going to be a great show!! (and no competition for Tron...it'll take Mark another six months to finish the "Thigh of Cayenne"...so we'll just have to put up with the oxidized rodent again) Oh!....Hi, Mark! Didn't see you there! ;]
