COO: This "scene" was build for Palikkatakomo's, Finland's LUG's, ModuCity project. ModuCity is a set of interlocking modules much like Moonbase modules which can be built seperately and joined together during the event. Each modules is 32x32 and has TECHNIC brick outlining allowing the builders to add modules to each other easily.
These modules (park, mall, bridge, roads) were part of the first ModuCity which was shown to the public at Model Expo 2010 event, 23-25.4.2010, Helsinki Fair Centre. People seemed to like it :)
Each module is 32 studs wide and 32 studs long. The whole ModuCity was three modules deep and 14 modules long (without counting the railroad that ran around the whole City) making the ModuCity largest creation ever shown in Palikkatakomo's event.
These modules were places between Town and Castle areas (which were divided by a river). I decided to go for "old town look" with mall and park so that the "chronological" transformation would work between Castle and Town.
Valiant defenders of the Castle realm fight against evil.. car? Perhaps the driver had forgotten to take the toll moneys with him.
Having finally got enough green plates, it was nice to finally build a park that wasn't completely flat.
Old mall got it's inspiration from malls that you can find almost every older Finnish town. Mostly the mall got inspirated by Oulu's mall but there are touches from imagination there too.
The top of the mall can be taken off to show the inside of the mall with multiple shops inside.
There is ten shops inside the mall. Everyone them are speciality shops like Alien Al's Future Tech, The Brick Shop and Adventurer's Alley, shop full of maps and other papers adventurer needs.
The security of mall is kept by resident Batman. For the Dark Knight, the task is piece of cake after the Arkham Asylum.
in my early period of moc pages, i ve seen incredible things, so, it affected my jugment on the rating, as at a point, i expected too much, from my early rating on this, i guess i rated then, because, 3 is nt my score now, the interior is great! and i find this very exotic, cool work!
