The Battle of Minas Tirith was an epic struggle between the forces of darkness (Sauron's legions) and those of light (the men of Gondor and Rohan). This is my Lego interpretation of it.
About this creation
This is my mini-fig scale version of the city and battle of Minas Tirith as seen in the third Lord of the Rings movie, The Return of the King.
This is an overview of the entire scene, with the outer wall of Minas Tirith at the rear and the armies of Sauron opposing it.
This is a shot of the main gate. It was said that there was nothing that could break through these mighty doors, until the appearance of Grond...
A view of the battlements from above showing the unique structure of the wall. This shape allowed the defenders to put anyone trying to take the gate in a deadly crossfire of arrows.
Gandalf the White stands ready to lead the defense of the city-fortress.
A shot of the wall with soldiers of Gondor assuming positions to defend Minas Tirith.
A view of the interior of one of the towers. This shot shows the many flights of steps needed to ascend from ground level to the top. Archers are positioned at the top of the top to rain arrows down on their enemies.
A shot of the armies of Sauron as they would have looked from the upper levels of the city. Minas Tirith is a main walled and leveled city, but I built only the outer wall. To build the whole thing would require many thousands of dollars of Legos.....don't quite have the budget for that.
Thank you. I did take a look at your MOC and commented on it. Please check back from time to time as I a rebuilding both Helm's Deep and Minas Tirith to make them more accurate and detailed plus have a number of other new MOCs in the pipeline.

Wow! Amazing! I am currently uploading a Helm's Deep, so when it is uploaded, could you check it out? I'm 13 and want a professional's opinion.
Thanks, I appreciate it. Please check back in a month or so. I am remodeling it to make it more "movie accurate" including trebuchets and different and additional towers as well as more interior detail. I plan to have some photos (might still be "work in progress" pics) by the middle of April.
Thank you for commenting. I purchased the elephants and trolls on Bricklink. The elephants are a little expensive, but the trolls are pretty reasonable. Im not sure of the brick count on this, its in the thousands, I would guess though.

where did you get those elephants and trolls. did you buy them and where did you buy them. how many bricks did it take you to build Minas Tirith
Thank you. I have considered building both Osgiliath or Isenguard, but since I keep most of my MOCs, I will have to wait to purchase some more bricks to start new projects. I do have a couple smaller MOCs on the way though.

Wow! I like the towers and the elephants alot. What if you build some of Osgiliath?

Very nice, I like how you set back the main gate to stop it being attacked. Any chance you going to build the rest of Minas Tirith?
I wish I could build the whole thing, but it would take tens of thousands of bricks and thousands of dollars. Not to mention it would probably stand over seven feet tall and be about eight feet wide. Maybe if I win the lottery.
