About this creation
Just got back into Legos after 10 years, decided to make my favorite plane the A-10 and was quite happy with the results. Next I took a shot at making a F-16 because I wasn't sure if I could pull off the sharp side profile on the front half.

Last but not least I used everything else as practice for the Mi-24 Hind. And before anyone says it, I know the rotors aren't correct, but the piece I want to use hasn't arrived yet.

My only rules when I make something is that it fits the minifigs (and is somewhat to scale) and is functional as a toy (ie not super fragile), i find that makes things a tad more challenging.

Hope to make more as soon as I can find the next project

Nice A-10! It is also my favorite plane and thre is one on display close to where I live. I think I'll try one and use yours as a starting point to go off of. Very nice trio, and making things like this not be too fragile is a CHORE! Good work.

They're not all that bad, though they could use a bit of work. As you mentioned, the Hind needs the last rotor, though it's pretty hard to get it right. The upward-dihedral on the A-10's wings is too strong, if you're using 'click-joints' I would click them down one increment. Another thing is that 'mini-fig scale' and 'fits mini-figs' are two very different things. Most of us mini-fig scale builders out there use the 1 foot=1 stud ratio, wich usually turns out pretty good. Places like Wikipedia and FAS are good places to get statistics for fighters. Anyway, hope this helps, I look forward to seeing more! Check out my A-10, F-22, MH-60, and AH-64D sometime! -- -- Michael
